Defense against mines is fine, past events have prooved this a necessary addition to keep it from being lopsided early on, especially with the new power increases provided from mines.
I agree that a consideration to increasing initial relic defense could be considered so no alliance is able to capture it too quickly and get the capture ticks going too quickly.
But, with it only being 3 man teams this will already be hard.
I plan to play this event and hope to find 2 good players to join me
