I'm currently one of the head moderators on the battledawn forum. the community there is great, it's not the most used forum i know, but it's enough. We have everything from War and Diplomatic Discussions forum to discuss wars, to a suggestion forum for members to come up with suggestions to improve the games. And the creators actualy listen, i know loads of suggestions who have been implented to the game. The admins listening is one of the greatest things about battledawn. if you pm them ingame you should get a response within 24 hours, or you could ask on the forum where the mod staff or others can help answer it. the admins listen so much that even if your banned you can appeal the ban, and if they find out you shoulden't have been banned you are free to play again.
Battledawn is and it isn't a newb friendly game. as in most games the pros have an advantage over the newbs. but battledawn have things like BD mentoring center on the forum where new players can apply for a mentor to help them join the game, and build up contacts, you can expect a answer on that topic within 24 hours. and if anyone need help feel free to pm me (simmen on the forum) with any questions you have
i think thats enough about the forum. the game in itself isn't to hard to play if you really try, especialy not if you have a mentor. it's a tick based game, on battledawn main server we have mostly 1 tick a hour and 2 ticks a hour worlds, but for those who want a bit faster we got 1 3 ticks a hour. battledawn also spread over to kongregate. on kongregate we have up to 6 hours a hour worlds for those who want more speedy worlds!

the gameplay is changing every round who last around 3 months, some times shorter if someone get all the 10 relics. the relics is the point of the game, and are mobile bases which can be used to send units out to war, if a allaince get them all and manage to hold them for 100 ticks they win the round.

pros will always have the upper hand, it's that way in every game =P
