that will be kinda anoying if u buy plat =P

but i gues it will stop the big donators getting their huge atvantage :)

and btw. i can't do silver by mobile phone(was kinda the same on the old one), i just want to know if there is any way to raise that in the future since mobile is the way i can do it i think, and under silver won't do me much good =/

The cooldowns are short enough to allow someone who buys a platinum package to use their tokens but long enough to stop them getting a MAJOR advantage - the biggest advantage there is probably the workers.

As for the mobile phone- I'm sorry, it's a limitation of our payment services and we cannot do anything about it. The Bronze package isn't that much less efficient than the silver one 40 Tokens/Euro for bronze, 50 Tokens/Euro for Silver. Sorry, but it's out of our control. Still hope you'll donate though :)

Enjoy the new system,
St.Even

Thanks Steven for your great posts.

We're working on adding PayPal payment option, and we'll add also SMS payments like in the old client.

holy crap, well to donate your "best deal package" i must forgo buying food for a week now,

too expinsive for a collage student (me, and i know this is not exclusive to me), who isnt having mommy buy the package for him, say how great it is- sell it like a used car sales men-( the server cost more- and the creators need to make some cash after putting this much time into the game), maybe it is great (i dont think its that great), but the prob is, theirs no ____ way i can afford it, and pay pal would be needed anyways, alot of the older players have acounts linked to pay pal to pay their bills, it just dont make since to link your card to yet another site and risk possable credit fruad ( yes the pay by cash is sercure sit, but nothings perfict)

why run on the artilery range with live rounds if you dont have to

plus if theirs no real gain in it, like their was befor, the cash flow will slow down to a trickle in time, speacly if someone has the 3000 on their acount, use 500 tokens a server- 3000/500 = 6 rounds, so asume 6 mounthes to a year, it may hurt battle dawn now

Ah ! One more doubt steven are there any multi marks on the new beta server ( I havent seen any )

If yes can we remove multi mark by donating ?

There are no multi marks. It did just make things more complicated back in the old client.

The admins have more tools than users, so we've removed the multi mark to reduce "OMG HES A MULTI" - when some people have perfectly legitimate reasons for doing so.

Thanks alot,
St.Even

If there arent any multis some noobs ( Intelligent noobs 8-) ) Create more and more accounts with the same ID and conquer them or make an alliance with them then admin may get in trouble cos he will be pissed to ban all those colonies ?

Previously there was a limit on how much one could donate via phone (I did it, so I know!) - I'm not sure if this will recurr but if it does, it's down to the companies and not us (Believe me, we have no problem with you donating for a platinum via phone message! :P)

FYI that the cost/benefit of each boost is likely to change several times during this first round. We will be doubling the current metal/oil boosts to 50% and 100% for the small/heavy boost and will most likely implement a cooldown time on virtually all supporter options with a few exceptions such as the instantly build all buildings. With a brand new supporting system and pricelist in place it will take some time to find a balance that gives our supporters a nice bonus for keeping the lights on at BD Headquarters without giving them too much advantage over average users.

Our goal is to also make supporting attractive at any point in the round without overpowering it at any point which is why it is linked to a dynamic and up to the minute world economy. That was one of the problems with the old client/supporting system, the supporting options were only really attractive for the first week or two of gameplay and after that weren't anywhere near as valuable. Also supporters were able to gain quite an unfair advantage, especially in the first week or two of a round, by purchasing the smaller bronze/silver packages repeatedly and no one(The staff included) wants someone to be able to buy a significantly unfair advantage over other players, paying or non-paying alike. It simply isn't good business sense to give enjoyment to one person at the cost of several others because we want all players to enjoy the game without having too large a distinction between supporters & non-supporters power and this will help lead us to our goal of 100,000 users.

In the future we plan to implement more supporter options that are cosmetic(nifty new colony models is one idea), conveniences/organization(Custom message folders, export all battle reports), notifications(Emails/SMS(Text) messages when your colony is under attack) and maybe even playing BD from your PDA/iPhone(We are looking at options of doing this in the future)! With our new fancy client we finally will have a system capable of implementing these kind of neat new-age features and once this new client is completely stable and things are running smoothly we can start focusing on developing these new and exciting features as well as new skins such as the long awaited Fantasy world!

This is going to be an interesting year for Battle Dawn so stay tuned! :D

*phew* sorry for the long post there guys, just got a little overexcited
