Regardless of the number of the sub alliances, which is what the alliance caps changed, there will still be the same number of PEOPLE in these alliances regardless if there's 4 subs or just 2.
If anything smaller cap is HELPING fight sub abuse, as it's forcing already poorly coordinated sub players into different alliances, meaning that it'll be that many more separate alliances trying to coordinate with each other.
That paired with other updates such as fighting for spoils wouldn't allow subs to hit the same target and get away fine as in the past, so it makes it a bit more difficult.
Hopefully you guys see what I'm saying, the cap size is actually beneficial to the fight against subs for those reasons.

Ok look, we all will suffer from the update but instead of ramping about it some are directing it to a suggestion (gentlemens idea) and some are taking it directly to the admins, regardless, ramping will not solve anything.
Now, I'm concerned about the sub abuse too. But come on, if a NwO tries to come back managing 10+ alliances in a bigger world will be way more problem than in the past. More alliance cap = less chance for abusers. Tho some super organized subs like GML will have a greater change there will still be no change than having 24 members. A GML with 2 subs and 24 members per sub has more advantages than a GML with 4 subs. Starting with the fact that they'll have less control over the area due to the fact they won't share 24 gates (one per member) but only 14 and will not have an excess of radar coverage, they'll have to think more strategical to plant 14 radars to see everything while other subs will have the same problem trying to get a place in the middle of the others.
Hope that example helps and don't confuse u people worse than Harvys
