Well Said Kodak.

That happens to me too

I'm not happy about this.. Its terrible.. I didn't use to have problems like this before... Sometimes I wish BD was back to normal.. Today it happened again.. Loading... and Hard to log on.. I had to try average of 50 times just to log on..

I might get kicked for this... its driving me crazy!!

Guys I have found a way to solve my connection problems with BD.

Downloading Hotspot Shield
http://download.cnet.com/Hotspot-Shield ... 09924.html
will solve all your problems as it solved mine :)

Now even with slow internet... we can connect to fast IP's and play the game without any restrictions or problems with connectivity..

This enhances the internet connection with bd and make signals reachable.

I hope this solves this problem

Hot spot shield is NO solution. Using proxies or VP's could get you banned, or you simply run into an exciting IP ban for the IP's that they offer.
No good idea.....

Oh man.. Someone taught me this :(

Well now.. I dont have problem loading my BD connection.. lol

Its fast now... and I can log on all my worlds again :(

Before Loading took me 5 mins and BD was very slow to load, and when it does load. BD doesnt function and says " Server Error .. or even Server Maintenance "

Hi Jeyms,

Just check your sound driver once more. If it is there then try plugging any speakers or headphones. It should be working fine after you follow these steps.

What needs to be emphasized here, is that the "server busy" error will pop up any time there is an interruption in the connection. As Ilona stated, there is a 2%-5% chance that the note is actually OUR server not being there for the client to see because it is actually not responding or down.

The rest of the time, there is another variable, and 95% of the time, it is connectivity. That is not to say YOUR router doesnt work, or your local network is not running and humming as normal. What it most often means is that the internet is big, and something between you and the server is interrupting or drastically slowing down the signal speed and/or strength.

You see, your computer does not "plug right in" to our server. We are not located in the walls of your home. Your signal must travel across undetermined distances, through untold cables, routers, fiber optic hubs
and depending how far away you are, even satellites! Any one of those cables, routers, hubs or spacecraft could be having an issue that's causing YOU to have problems accessing BD.

The BD servers are located on the east coast of the USA, so the further away from that you are, the more this can become true. That being said, I live in the midwest USA, and I still from time to time, will have this issue as well. When it happens, you can try as many steps to resolve it as you like, and you never know, you might get lucky. Therefore, its always worth a try, and EXACTLY why our people are telling you to do it (clear cache & cookies, etc), so go easy. ;)

In the end though, if there is connectivity issues for you "out there in cyberspace", most often, all you can do is wait it out. We are but a humble indie game company, and we do not have godlike powers that enable us to fix the entire internet, let alone, offer you warranty on your ISP and how well your ISP will be able to guarantee your speed & bandwidth across great distances. Unfortunately, this is the nature of the beast in online gaming.

I do agree though, that we could stand to change that "server busy" note, as not to make everyone think that our server is down if it is not.

The easiest way to check for connectivity issues, is to run a trace route to battledawn.com

The directions for running a trace route are specific to your operating system. Simply Google or Bing search for instructions on running a trace route for your OS. Bring the trace route results to an admin, and they should be able to diagnose it for you one way or the other.

This topic is about a year old, however the advice given throughout this topic is still just as relevant.

First suggestion I have is to clear cache and cookies. It cannot be the servers that are the issue as I have been online over the last week with no issues. If it was a server issue, we'd both be experiencing the same problem. So this leads me to believe it's a connectivity issue between you specifically and BD. Go through this topic and read some of the other postings. They give good advice. If none of it works, then there is a bigger issue going on (as Seth put it, there is a LOT between you and the BD servers that the connection must go through) and it'll be hard to pinpoint where the problem lies.
