but for me the important thing is not the formula, but the fact that it is linear. meaning, if you get more conquers you get more rewards for it. as long as it is like this, i'm saying 'yes', especially if you think that it will help bringing more new players in.
kane, mo, creel, gaurav... i just had enough of the old ones... LOL

WOW!!

honestly

the extra crystal / relic production IS AWESOME ! but then my happynes turned to sadnes when i read that you will put this *CENSORED* CAP on taxation ?!?!?! i was so happy that there will be more resources put into the damn game but this has made me very angry

as for the extra score

relic: i agree to this as there is only 10 relics per server and any player that holds them deserves a good boost in their score !

crystals : i do not support this , as i was happy to see that the game ranks werent completely dependant on crystals and relics , that strong players that didnt have much but power could still high rank instead of any noob that usually backstabbed and got loads of crystals will high rank, i have seen alot less backstabbing since crystals arnt the whole rank system this will bring back old habits... basicly i think it will be too much of a booost to score


i beg the admins not to place a tax cap it is absolutley a joke... i have a question

if you have more conquers then your tax can cap , do any other people still get tax'd? if yes why? the tax is going no where so they shouldnt get taxed

0.75 workers per conquer while adding 0.05 workers per crystal on top of removing the 50 worker income limit is exactly what I would like to see.

I do not know about you, but I started out as a newbie. Yes, I admit it, I was clueless. Someone introduced me to this game, and then I am not sure whatever happened to them. I had looked at BD several times before I ever decided to try it. I did not try it because it was too slow, and the idea of being conquered right out of protection was the main reason I chose not to play.

Finally I caved in though and decided to give the game a try. The help I was able to get from a certain Admin and other players is the reason I am still here.

I have seen the game from both sides, and I will go play unknown on other servers and get conquered so I can experiment with how to play that way. I have probably played more rounds conquered than not. Being a conquered player can be its own game if not being on the winner board is not your sole purpose for playing.

I think as a conquered player getting more resources while conquered would be a bonus to help you build your structures faster, and to grow stronger, and to see a future, so maybe not quit the game.

Is there a way to give a conquered boost but not penalize the players who do the conquering? Players who have done what it takes to be in the top 25% should not be penalized.

Perhaps make the banner clicking bonuses higher, or more for conquered players.

I like the fact that owning crystals do not bump your score up. It allows some people the opportunity to hold them longer. I like the fact that there are not crystal wars, but they help the whole alliance, but the focus is on building an army and working as a team.

The crystal score bumping will take away from team play in my opinion.

I like what AJK wrote and want to see a picture of that teal deer.

We all agree that we want the newer players to stay with us, and we all know the struggles when you just start out unknown. I feel that there has to be a way to keep the majority of people happy.

Happy players donate.

I feel the crystal and relic changes are ok.
Crystals don't mean a lot as is and I enjoyed the shift from personal gain to alliance gain through the new client. The score part of it is bragging rights only as score is arbitrary with the exception of ranking and ranking is of little value or concern to some players.

What I very much disagree with is the tax change. I have been irked that half of my workers have been going to waste(I had 90 conquers at one point and had my maintenance covered by the base growth for some time. That meant the majority of my food production and conquers went to waste.

I understand that it's to limit the strength of players but currently there is little reward for being a good player. The proposed tax changes means that even more so, you're actually going to get penalized for being an active and strong player. If this goes through I suggest changing one of the limits.

With both the game turns into crystal hunting which often still only means finding the players that got to 20 power slower and stealing from conquered colonies. I don't think it'll make strong players any more or less likely to attack another strong player. I may be wrong but I think both is merely penalizing good players instead of evening the field or enticing attacks on stronger players.

Workers from conquers are too plentiful in the game though which is why the 50 workers per iteration cap was implemented. What do you guys think of removing the 50 workers cap and instead changing it so that each conquer adds 0.75 workers and each crystal(This is ALL crystals in the alliance added up as crystal bonuses are alliance wide.) adds 0.05 workers. So every 4 conquers will yield 3 workers and every 20 crystals gives 1 worker? Relics stay as is and provide no worker bonus and you cannot have a part of a worker so the formula would round up.

What do you think of that instead?

I think the only reason they are so plentiful is because there are so few minuses going into your production.

I have 256 units(-7) 43 OPs(-21) 5 Missiles(-3) all of that doesn't even get beyond my base production of +40. Add into the fact that the farms add another +15 and there are just not enough minuses added into the equation to balance.

I enjoy the idea of the growth as it seems more natural compared to the food/maintenance system but there needs to be some more balance put in....
I have 520 soldiers worth of an army hardly denting my population growth... something isn't right with that

As the round progresses, conquers dry up, and upkeep gets much higher, especially once you start pushing 800+ workers and making nukes.

I think upkeep is fine.

I agree with phycic the minuses are very low on some things, the amount of troops and population growth doesnt add up but I dont think it is a major problem or even medium risk problem. I think maybe we should have an option for breeding, you can put so much metal and oil into the breeding grounds tech make it a sixth tech. Lets say 8.5k/8.5k to build. What breeding ground will do will make your settlements not only raise cap but add an extra + 1 to your workers per every settlement. Just an idea not necessary though. So if you doing the breeding grounds you will have to add more minuses to level out possibly. Not to mention add a 6th tech to everything else. I see nothing new that could be implemented yet or thats necessary to be honest.

Can't believe what I'm reading.

Seriously, I thought this game was about conquering people, but you want to set limits for conquers.

Crystals will never be a valuable resource in the early game, and it problably never will be a valuable resource at all. Crystals are a score boost, and you have to lose tons of units to get them. Almost always you lose more resoureces in getting them than the resoruces it will give you back. Their only reason to have them is score, ranking, etc.

You have reduced our colonies production and we are now, depend much more on conquers no a days.

I think doing this change will have a negative outcome to the game itself. I'm talking about playablity. Less resources, less wars, less fun, less people play.

I understand what you intend to do here. You want to keep new players.

This is what I think.
