My view is that were working this as we see our little spam universe.
Spam is a very chaotic dictatorship and thus should be reflected as such.

but the whole purpose behind this idea, is to start some good debates/discussions.
If people are just going to pick an answer because it's the silliest answer, then the quality of discussion isn't going to be as good, because how can you debate that your choice is better than someone elses, when they're deliberately choosing a bad choice.

Even laying devil's advocate is better than playing... troll's advocate?

Voting option 2, the one that makes the most sense.

Oh I'm certainly prepared to bring the debate on.
But with something like this, I'd rather go with how I see our little world. And that will be my defence. So tear it like paper if you wish :D

I believe that we need to take into consideration about the country's political apathy. If people don't really care much about politics, then forcing them into voting will be pretty bad. I mean, they will pick a random guy without knowing who he is and wat he does.

That already happens in democracies where you aren't forced to vote anyway. A politcian says a half assed slogan and everyone whips themselves into a frenzy.

Switzerland and the Netherlands have compulsary voting. Who has a bad thing to say about them? I think it forces voters to take their vote into consideration. Many people hold views about how a country should be governed but don't cast their vote because they feel their vote doesn't count.

option #2

But back to the topic of forcing people to vote;
Most people don't care about politics, whether they are forced to vote or not, and will just vote for whoever the newspapers tell them to.
So the only real difference between voluntary, and compulsory voting, isn't that the country becomes more/less democratic/represented, or that it becomes less/more free, it's that some people are punished unless they waste a day of their lives doing something that they neither care, know about, or want to do.

But I think the main problem with both choices, is that there is a lot of misinformed, random, popularity, or ignorant voting.
In fact, the best system would be a technocratic democracy (anyone can choose to vote, as long as they show they understand what they're actually voting for).

But seeing as that isn't a option here, and it now seems to be between compulsory voting, or no voting, I'd rather not vote than be forced to vote, in a system where voting doesn't really matter anyway, so I'm changing my vote to
OPTION #3
