Just got the game now >.> it was sold out at first (i was just 4 hours late) so far, amazing graphics and wonderful gameplay! I do believe it lived up to the expectations, since other than fifa 14, for me there isn't any other game i'd play over this one.

@fake: that's basic marketting -_- everyone's supposed to do it.

GTAV definetely deserves to win most overrated game of the year(all time), but not Game of the year.

i wasn't saying it out of hope, that's just how the VGA's are.

Overrated? Overhyped? Actually play the game before acting like a complete idiot please. This is the internet - not a bar where you can blatter about topics you've never bothered to even read about.

When a game is scoring almost solely 10's in reviews of even the most cynical reviewers - it's not over-anything. It's a masterpiece. It's the largest, liveliest, most enjoyable world i've ever seen. It will most likely set the golden standard future open world games will aspire to live up to.

I can't wait where Take Two Interactive's companion games will take the technology and basic code behind this world.

Red Dead 3 (GOTY when it comes out, mark my words. RD2 was amazing and TTI has yet to make a disappointing sequel to any games in terms of reception), Mafia IV, Bully 2... Here we come!

completely agree. The only thing I would want more out of this game, is to open up more buildings.. especially after you finish all of the heists. still waiting to see if this is something that is done in the multiplayer portion or not.

tbh, i don't think the current consoles could handle a whole lot more being added. maybe they'll open up more when it's ported to the new consoles and pc.

considering parts like the torture bit wasn't really advertised, i don't think that's really a fair thing to say.
