Well, i didn't read the first 4 pages of this topic (too much text for me).

Though, tourney rules are somewhat incomplete in my opinion.
E.g. do you have to use the same mech with the same build and kits for all of your opponents? If not, it's quite easy to scout out your opposition and build a mech that may beat him easely.

Also, who determinates the matchmaking level? And does both mechs need to be at the same level? (E.g. if i'd use my lvl20 mech, i'd loose every singe time against lvl22+ Lucifer build. Not very fair is it?)

no you can use different mechs in different battles..
and yes to what you said about it that's part of the strategy.. but they can also do the same thing to you so don't expect it to be easy..
So one of you is randomly pick you then pick both you and your opponents mech level cap where you can't use anything above that level... everything is fair.. then the other person picks the cap.. best 3/5 wins completely
If you think about it it's pretty decently fair and should be interesting to watch..

But what happens when opponent chooses matchmaking level and let's say that i don't have a mech at that level? Nor i have enough money to build myself that mech? Does that count as an automatic foreit from me?

well you better pray for a miracle... so if you get to pick first all you have to do is defend your pick battles.. and if you don't get to pick first you have to break your opponent one time in his pick.. so it should be interesting to see.. it's not "fair" but it's as fair as I could think to make one tournament..

Yeah, it's usual the 1st tourney is more of a trial and error than anything certain. Following tournaments are usually betterly organized and any flaws are woven out.

Either way, you can sign me up. (I'm also Aeacus in the game.)
Now, we just need to wait and see how it turns out.

well I do think that would be part of the strategy if you used a mech that was a level below the cap... and you got to go first.. it also would most likely make your mech worse than your opponents mech.. if it's not props to you and you'll probably win the battle.. but I personally feel using a lower leveled mech even if it's just one level should give you an advantage.. also this will sort of help the noobs don't have a mech for EVERY single level...

the scout moto is be prepared cause lifes not fair.. the noob would have a fair chance on his picks and if he'd been prepared he'd have extra sc to make that type of mech or he'd already have a mech semi close to that etc... the purpose is to see who is the best.. a noob probably isn't.. etc..
