Sry for OT. lilconquer wrote: ok dude im not arguing with every single detail you know what this is meant for sand you are here just trying to put in a million other factors I'm just pointing out few flaws in this Gentlemen's Agreement and this is a bad thing? Fine, if you want to go on with a plan that is flawed right at the beginning then so be it. I, in the other hand, prefer plans that are thoroughly disscussed and any flaws are woven out, before going ahead and implement the plan. -- Aeacus

it's called personal judgement. it's not a suggestion that every1 has to follow all the time

If opponent get's heat lockdown (looses both his 2 action points due to overheating), will any of you, who agreed to be part of this Gentlemen's Agreement, also skip your turn (e.g. you cool down yourself twice)?
According to the Gentlemen's Agreement ("If opponent skips his turn, i'll also skip my turn."), if you're truly a gentlemen and like to have a fair play, you should also skip your turn.
Though, i doubt that any of you would do that under those circumstances.
-- Aeacus That is not a skipped turn in the context that is present in this conversation, that is a tactic with which you overpower your opponent. This thread is talking about extenuating circumstances causing them to be unable to move during their turn, not them making a decision to not cool down when the should have and costing themselves the match.

So, if i understand you correctly, this Gentlemen's Agreement is only and only when opponent experiences lag timeout. But how to understand lag timeout from those times when opponent couldn't decide what to do in their 15-20 seconds time? -- Aeacus

-- Aeacus It is basically a judgment call.

Most of these people lagging your timer out are either exploiting the system, or don't care and will take the advantage. I'm not going to run into someone with this agreement any time soon. If my opponent is lagging my timer, I'll open the largest file on my computer, lag myself, and exploit them if they don't shut down or wait.

Just because an opponent is lagging does not mean they are doing it to mess you up.

I lost 3 entire turns in one game I honestly don't care if it is intentional, I'll report them. They shouldn't be playing on a computer so laggy, speedmypc or you're going to get reported is the way I see it.
