yeah, i see almost no one from the first alliance i really got contacts! thats the sad part, bd players are quitting, and when more people quit more want to quit, it's a chain reaction who's gone end up bad! i'm often the guy who get people to join me in bad alliances.. check out cake on e4 where sudently 6 colonys came in 2 ticks with CAKE flags came right next to me and thought they were multis, we got beatm but i atleas had fun! i were fighting with friends on my side and every victory just seemed so much bigger when it was with them, thats why i'm so much more active there then e3!

Exactly. And I'm going to go as deep as I can through this topic. BD...6 months was ago, was part of my life. I'm serious. When I was supposed to be working I just had to go on BD I just could not live without it. My friends even dared me not to go on for 48 ticks but I stopped the dare after 12.
Anyways I always had more fun playing BD with my friends.
An extremely good friend of mine, maybe you will remember him. His name was Duke of Conquest/Hazzard. This guy was my best friend on BD. We were in BFl together. And we made a vow to protect each other. I watched his back, he watched mine. We even created our own alliance with another one of our friends. Unfortuantely it didn't work.
But Duke quit. And now I have no contacts of him any where. I can't even find him.

you know the same thing has been happening to me recently I still come on and scope around but I am not as excited anymore (I hope starting anew will change that) I have actually been thinking about shuting down my coloney on E2 or E3
I think the solution to this is not to play on BD continulouslt but to come on scope it out play something faster paced, or hand with friends or even go outside (le gasp its the O word) that way if your not on as much you can enjoy when you are on and not get tired of it

I've seen this happen with other games. Even in real life. I used to play paintball with a couple of friends for years.
Things just change, people move, things come up, colleges start, family or start of one, work, loss interest, and the list goes on.
It does bite when times like this happen. But there are plenty of people to make new friends.

Epic necropost because I feel this is still relevant - and has actually worsened in some ways. Opinions?

First thing that I noticed was that Simmen's grammar has significantly improved And well, one thing I am glad to see is many that posted on this thread still actually do play.

I bothered him about that on skype. And yes, they took breaks, but they all came back. No matter what happens to the game and forums, the alliances - the friendships you build up over time, never really let you go.
