What i said about soon is completely legitimate. It could have happened 10 millions years later and it still would be soon since I know the end of time is ~10 trillion trillion years.

But you were trying to equivilate a definitive term to a relitive term, so it's not legitimate at all.
If it was the other way round though (i.e. you said it would happen soon, but meant the next day, and were correct) then that would be legitimate.
