Kits seem to just be another way to extend the battle, and another element to strategy (I find the use of cooling kits can turn the tide of battle e.g. if you're both low on health, and high on heat, do you try to finish the opponent in 2 turns, and overheat if you fail, or use a turn to cool down, and try and finish the opponent next turn [when they might use their own kit].

My advice would be to just not buy kits if you can't afford them, and save your money for weapons.

One of the more tactical aspects of this game, is learning how to spend your money wisely.
Don't buy the best new weapon when you level up, if all your other items are low levels, try to have all you items at a similar level. Then keep fighting with those items for a while, saving up cash, then after you've gained, say, 3 levels, upgrade all the items of your mech.

Realism is an issue, but it doesn't have to be absolute, as there's 'suspension of disbelief'.
And most aspects of the game can be explained using a bit of creativity (e.g. the health kits could work by using structural foam, in a similar way that real life microcapsule self-healing materials work).

Personally I prefer the longer battles.
Battles that only last ~4 turns are boring and predictable, the ones that last 20+ turns are usually the most tense, as the tide of battle can change many times.

But while I find long battles (as in, many turns) enjoyable, I find slow paced battles (when the opponent always takes the full 20 seconds to take their turn) less enjoyable (but this is an issue with the game interface, rather than the item mechanics)

Using kits, especially multi resistance kits are profitable only if you're a premium user. Regular users can't afford to use multi resistance kits in every battle without loosing credits.

For example:
My mech is lvl20 and lvl14 multi resistance kit costs 1850. I'll get 1950 credits for winning a full battle. It isn't wise for me to use multi resistance kits in every battle since i wouldn't make almost any money if i'd win. Using another kit besides multi resistance kit during a battle results me loosing money, even if i win.

But premium users can afford multi resistance kits nicely since they get twice as much credits for winning a battle than regular users would get.
Premium user with lvl20 mech would get 3900 credits for winning a battle. They could nicely use multi resistance kits in every battle without loosing money.

I, as a regular user, can't really afford to use even regular kits in battle. Using 2 regular kits costs me between 1500 to 2000 (depending on which kit i use). And the higher the mech level goes, the need for using kits rises accordingly.
I tried to battle when my mech was lvl22, i couldn't win a single match without using atleast 2 kits per battle. Frankly, when my mech was lvl22, i lost money every battle, despite the fact that i won. So, i downgraded my mech back to lvl20, thus giving me some opportunities to win battles without the need to use more than 1 kit per battle.

Premium users also level up twice as quickly though, so while you're at lvl 20 fighting other lvl 20s, a premium user who has played for the same length of time as you, would be lvl 30-40 fighting similarly levelled opponents, and would spend that extra win money on level 30-40 parts, and do so more often (as they level up more often).

The only way you can get more credits at a non-level proportional rate, is to simply buy more credits (buy buying tokens).

On higher level players being outside your range faster that is not the case as the higher lvl players to get more matches just stay with lower level builds.

On kits the multi resist one, I think needs to go I have played with it some but now never use it. I recently had a battle with a guy who poped it everytime we squared off, it got old fast.

Mind you I also think that resist mods should be limited to only two types being equiped. I think you should not be resistant to everything. It offers a hole for people with a certain build to exploit, and the chance for those that you have beaten to tinker to win.

Also on kits watch what you are buying there is not much point in buying the top level missle/bullets kit if your mech only holds 30 max. Buy the kit to just replace your max. Same with energy buy only what your max is. Cooling is somewhat the same since you will be shutdown for an action before you use your kit, however, if not using shields then there can be spots where having extra room can work. Like if your at 199/120 at he end of the oppnets assault, they are right beside you and you use a flamer then use a coolong kit to take you down 150 will drop you to zero or near.
