U-oh...school

This reminds me *sigh*
My son had a new teacher. An older, nice lady and she asked him:

"what are your parents doing?"
He: "My mom has her own worlds. Sometimes she has to ban people so they smoke red and when she had released all relics, she makes havoc."
She: "You better tell the truth. Next one please!"

lol ur just plain awsome.

As player, I remember a situation where I had to call my teammate for launching his squads to a relic. Unfortunately he was driving and his wife picked up (after I texted him already before)

She yelled at me in russian language for like 5 minutes. I am not sure how he calmed her down, but he made it in time !

Heh...The looks I get at my woman's parent's house when I tell them that "I have to work" and then log into a game xD

I think the "look" that sticks with me the most...

Well, back in 2009, I introduced BD to my step-dad, who is a strategy gamer all the way. Well, I totally underestimated just how much he would get into it. He ended up taking a relic his first era, and got VERY heavily involved. Within weeks, my mother was calling me to give me the what for because I did this to him!

After about 2 months, neither myself or my step-dad could so much as mention BattleDawn or relics, outposts, colonies...even updates...Nothing.
It drove her nuts that he would be in the middle of dinner, and forget he had to do something and run to the computer, or that his alarm would go off 3 times a night. After about 3 months, she was about to leave him and disown me. I remember her emphasizing just how much she was "sick of living her life by ticks"...

Well, we managed for about 2 weeks, to avoid any BD related conversations around her...Until just before christmas that year, they took me & the family out to red lobster for dinner. We sat around for a good while drinking & eating those yummy rolls & stuff before ordering. Pops & I had put on a good beer buzz, and I could just see it in his face, he was itching to talk about it. It was like setting a steak in front of a dog, and waiting to see how long he could go before losing control & eating it.

All I did was make reference to needing to get home at a decent hour so I could be on to work the next morning early, and the look on pop's face was something akin to shaking up a soda bottle, and slowly twisting the cap...and after a few minutes of resistance, he finally broke down and started spewing details of his current era, the friends he made and their final battle plans...I mean like that cartoon squirrel on "Hoodwinked" (the movie..you know what im talkin about?), he just started going so fast...and mom...man...she gave me this look. It was like her eyeballs turned into little daggers, and they were stabbing me to death! She didnt blink. She didnt move...she didnt say a word. She slowly got up, and backed toward the back wall going to the bathroom...and didnt drop eye contact until she was around the corner...

We all just knew..When mom returned, that conversation never took place. :?

When I think of "getting looks" in association with BD, the image of those eyes stabbing me to death always comes right to the front of my mind.
