the avatar has the maximum size of 200 x 200 pixels

I think imgur has the option to edit the image, including resize.

Many thanks...!
Thing is, the avatar looks awful in game, whereas a friend's has a good-great quality... Is there something I am missing? I had to make the avatar smaller, and I had painted it a little before uploading. Any ideas?

Make sure you maintain ratio. This might help: http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_ratio/
