I think that we could all benefit from taking time to think of a workable bounty solution.

Bounties in the past were implemented, and subsequently abused by people coordinating bounty placement, and conquering people, just for free resources, or transferring resources to other players (eg, subs bounty a noob with loads of resources, and then the main alliance attacks said noob, to collect resources).

I'd like this topic to be used to put forth ideas for a bounty system that BD may be able to use. I'll probably be coming in with counter-examples to each system, to point out abusable points, but dont take that as bad :P
The more ideas we come up with, will probably result in one of 2 things: 1) A workable bounty system, that will enrich BD gameplay, or 2) We find out that bounties suck, and we avoid them forever :D


My idea is to have a bounty system that doesn't reward with resources, or rank, but it would just be for show... However, i'm not sure how much use it would get, or if it would even be useful in anything :/

Not just conceptual, but I'll be adding a poll to the topic once its developed...

And why move a topic about a suggestive feature to BATTLEDAWN to a NON-BATTLEDAWN boards? This is a suggestion about battledawn's features, and i was told to put suggestive discussions into SUGGESTIONS.

Why cant the staff keep all their answers the same?

I've had 5 topics that were just for discussion, and this is the first one thats been moved... i'd appreciate it being moved back to suggestions....

just leave it we're here to discuss bounties not forum organization

maybe the bounties could be chosen by the admin

It was a ridiculous argument. The cost clearly enters in the energy department, cause if you wanted to directly kill the target you'd spend your metal and oil, whereas you want to kill him indirectly, so you use energy (just like jams) yet you kept going on about how the bounty hunter should be rewarded extra resources even though the bounty's good enough >.<
