Never timed myself... was purely a amateur... but i guess not less than 5 min :D... I had a id on BD once "CubiX" in 2010 lol...

used a formula found on the internet... don't know the name lol... but the video from youtube was named "Rubik's Cube for beginners" or something like that lol...

It was probably the LBL (Layer By Layer) method, it's the one that people always learn first.

I just learned the Ortega Method on the 2x2 and dropped my time to a pretty consistant 7 seconds. I plan on learning CLL over the summer. I also learned about 20 new OLL and PLL algorithms for 3x3. Fun times.

I got a 5x5 which I'm currently practicing and I've started doing one-handed 3x3. I have a 6x6, which I'm learning how to do. 4x4 and 7x7 will be for Christmas.

Times:
2x2: 6.75 seconds
3x3: 42.1 seconds
4x4: Christmas
5x5: 7:57 minutes
6x6: Learning
7x7: Christmas
3x3 One Handed: 2:04 minutes

Methods Used/Learned:
2x2: LBL, Ortega
3x3: LBL, Fridrich
5x5: Reduction

Going To Learn:
2x2: CLL, Guimond
3x3: Roux, Petrus
4x4: Reduction, Possibly Yau
6x6: Reduction (Almost done)
7x7: Reduction

Goal Times:
2x2: <5 seconds
3x3: <20 seconds
4x4: <1 minute
5x5: <3 minutes
6x6: <5 minutes
7x7: <7 minutes
3x3 One Handed: <1 Minute

TL;DR: I have no life.

Algorithm - A sequence of movements for moving a piece without messing up what you've already solved
2x2, 3x3, etc. - Dimensions of the cube
CLL - 2x2 method for solving under 5 seconds
OLL - Orientation of last layer
PLL - Permutation of last layer
Ortega, Fridrich, Petrus, Roux, Yau. Guimond - Different solving methods, not easy to explain this one
Reduction - A method for cubes with dimensions that are higher than 3x3. It involves solving the centers and making groups our of the edges. After you do that, you solve the cube as if it's a 3x3.

Anyway, new Personal records:
2x2: 6.75 seconds
3x3: 36 seconds
4x4: Christmas
5x5: 6:14 minutes
6x6: Finally finished, practicing a bit before I time it
7x7: Christmas
3x3 One Handed: 1:56
