Living in China, I honestly beg to differ.

Socialism has proven to work in several places. People say that China is capitalist, especially in the cities--I disagree. The market today is still fundamentally run by the government, and I do believe that the rules and regulations set have improved the lives of the Chinese.

Lol. Thanks for boosting sales of scotch whisky though. It's improving the lives of the Scottish.

Long live the Chinese middle class.

We might have a different definition of socialism.. What I meant by our socialism was mostly the social security system, welfare and all that. Our market is quite free.

No google needed. Social is a form of goverment where the government has an excess of control. A socialist goverment enjoys things like high taxes and welfare. In an ideal socialist society there is no wealth gap or class system. Things lie middle class and high class dont exist. Dont think i dont know what im talking about. Iv done extensive research into the subject of American and world politics.

Where the government has an excess of control? WRONG. or at the very least, too vague to be correct. Socialism would be state control of means of production of goods or services. An example of this would be a government run hospital which is covered by taxes and thus for free as a public service. Welfare isnt intrinsically socialist but it is ethically tied to it. In a socialist system there will still be a wealth gap find me a system without a wealth gap and I will be thoroughly surprised

And while Obama may conservitive compared to the rest of the world, he is INSANELY liberal in American politics. America was founded as a "conservitive" nation.

He actually isnt, he is moderate left. He isnt insanely liberal in that he hasnt passed many measures like a carbon tax or allowing gay marriage at a federal level. Show me how he is insanely liberal

And my reasons for thinking Obama will wreck America is that he wants to increase the welfare system and our dependence on the government. America was founded on the idea of each person making there own in the world. Obama wants people to rely on the government.

Obama has given no indications he wants to increase the welfare system, that is hyperbole/fear mongering. With unemployment rates dropping, how will he increase the welfare system? Besides, you do rely on government and dont pretend you dont when all the infrastructure that surrounds you and you rely on is likely sourced from the government

Im not to sure where your hate came from or why you think i dont know what im talking about. Im not college student or anything like that, but i have quite a bit of real world experiance.

Not in college? High school then? Unless you volunteer weekly, I cant possibly believe the claim you have a bit of real world experience.

I have no fear of socialism. I simply dont like what it stands for. I enjoy the right to be wealthy and own my firearms. I like being able to pick where i get my health care.

Were the Founding Fathers socialist? Compare their tax rates with maximum rates of 70-80% with current rates. Socialism =/= gun control. Socialism =/= cannot pick your healthcare. ACA will allow for you to get private health insurance, it merely offers a bottom line to protect against the uninsured. Even in very left leaning countries like Sweden (with universal healthcare), you can still get private health insurance if that is what rocks your boat.

I dont understand people who willing vote for socialist when they wish to take these things away from us. No hate or fear. Just lack of understanding.

It would appear the lack of understanding comes from you.

Then that isnt socialism, those are left/progressive ideals being called socialism. Socialism is government controlling means of production. Think China with many big factories pretty much owned by the government even though they are publically traded companies.

That is why I was so keen on getting people to define socialism. It isnt what people think it means.

I am going to be completely honest with you. I lvoe China. China has proven me wrong so many times. China is the only country that has managed to prgress so far into an almost perfect socialist society. I dont liek socialism but china has somehow managed to make it work.

WHAT is SOCIALISM TO YOU?!

How you can talk about it LIGHTLY?! Are you kind of a person like that?!

''Disappointed'' -- Okay, I can understand but, how you can talk about socialism talk lightly?

Here we go Socialism.

Are you enough serious to understand that's a most IMMATURE thing from someone I look up to, you have a big experience of this game and you're probably older than me. I understand mistakes but...

how can you talk about socialism lightly? What it is to you? Do you even exactly know what's socialism, so you can talk about it immature?

I'm not taking it lightly, I am dead serious

Hey Mendicant. 2 replies, none to me, I feel hurt : (

Find me a socialist system without a wealth gap. Show me how Obama is insanely liberal (either through words or his actions (policies). Were the FF socialist commies in your eyes because of a high maximum tax rate? Show me how socialism is gun control or preventing you from picking your healthcare.

If all you have are Fox News talking points, things are looking pretty grim bro.

Do you have anything? Anything of value, of substance to bring to the discussion or are you merely limited to catch phrases from Fox?

Its this cognitive disconnect that means that Red states get the most Federal assistance, often draining from the system more then they pay back in taxes. Blue states are often the opposite, paying more into taxes and draining less out of the US coffers. I want to see some proper discussion, some proper thought or at least something that passes for critical thinking to be applied here.

But if I had to choose I have to go with Mitt Romney. Obama has done nothing but increasr our debt. Mitt Romney is a buissness man and knows how to pull a company out of the hole. So i believe he can do much more than that silly Obama.

I disagree.

Obama is much better.
