well at least i got an answer for the map after 4 years ^^

although simmen while the other free token stuff is good and all 3 facts remain to be a problem

1) 75% of the stuff does not load(no matter how much cache clearing or anyother stuff as they still dont work for me on my recently reformated computer, reason for that is below)

2) again alot of the stuff require u to purchase something directly or indirectly and/or asks for credit cards which ive had a few things pop up that i dont remember buying(so now we also have to pay for some blues)

3) the main reason why i stopped using those stuff is because i got all kinds of viruses and other **** downloaded on to my computer to the point where i had to reformat my computer

Well, the 3 alternatives is only one of the things we didn't have around a year ago..

Also, the amount of people who actually vote is very small compared to how many tokens we had out for it Most doesn't do it at all unfortunately.

I don't see why so many people are complaining about this. Even if it does enlarge the gap(which it might or might not), It doesn't matter. For as long as I have played(a fairly long time) I have never really even used blue tokens. I saved up blue tokens from time to time, but I always decided not to use them because I was well off without them. I always did fairly well and for a non - booster who doesn't use blue tokens that often, I think I did extremely well. Now, I didn't feel like reading 13 pages right now(I read 7 though), but what is the daily boost, how does it work, how do you access it, what does it give you, and how much does it give you? That question would help with some of my confusion on that part. Everything else I think is fine. Nothing that'll devastate me, but nothing that's extremely exciting either.

I like most of the new updates. However, I believe that lowering the amount of tokens received per vote is a bad idea. It isn't fair to players who don't boost reds. It will cause even more of a gap between the powerful red boosting players and the average players like me. It won't really be as fun.

I agree 100% with you, I do boost reds some rounds but not all the time and the blues I get for voting really helps with my population.

Well, that answers my question.

Maybe BD should just be more open about these things, and people would complain a lot less. Please understand - we love this game. Some of us live for this game (oh, and our kids...I guess).

You know, when I was in college in Boston, there was this ice cream store that made a mistake on their taxes. They owed the government a significant amount of money, and were going to go out of business. They announced to the community that they were in trouble, and their loyal customers brought in so much business that summer that they were able to pay off their bill and stay open.

Like I said...the average player has no idea how much money goes into BD, and where it goes after that. Many believe that the people who run the game are living on yachts in the Caribbean while we fund their late night parties buying red tokens for a video game. Perhaps a little openness about the financial situation would do more good than harm. People might rise up to support the game if they knew it was in trouble.

Well, if you really want to know, I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my woman, 3 kids and 2 dogs, and have been clean outta money for over a week, I am out of just bout everything (including dog food) with another week and a half to go before I can even think about the next payday! I have already gone to the length of borrowing from family and conning my mother out of some of her food!

Boy, the carribean and a yacht sounds wicked good from where I sit! HAHA! I get pretty stressed out when things get this tight. Its not typically this bad, but alot has happened in my life this year that has just complicated the heck outta things, and what savings I did have has been chewed clean through! It all started back in July when the house I was living in had a sewage line break... (ug)...Ill spare you the details.

Anyway, yes. We need to cover some gaps in our books right now, and no we are not rich, although some day it would be nice!

I understand where you guys are coming from. I understand your concern with adding too much of an edge to boosters. But you have to understand that the boosters are the glue that holds this all together. We need them! Hence the added incentive. We do not do such things out of greed. When we do promotions in such a way, it is most often born of necessity.

I don't think that was his point. I think you misconstrued what that poster said. He's basically saying that fi you guys were to tell us that Battledawn funds are running low, then more of us would boost red tokens and possibly donate to help keep it running. In full honesty, I think it would be a better idea to tell people that things are starting to become tough money wise and ask them to support in any way they can instead of making a negatively received update. As you can see there are plenty people who have said they can boost, but don't(which is perfectly just fine). Perhaps they would boost or support battledawn if they knew that money was starting to run low. of course, then again, maybe it might not work out that way, but it's worth a try. I mean Wikipedia did it and it seems like it was a success(just an example).

I assumed u're talking about the survey system.

The problem with the survey is that their "process-done-verification" isn't working. So 9 out of 10 times u won't be able to receive tokens after u've done the survey. And while it's a survey, a detailed questions is very much needed (as wat's ur name, ur address, age, occupation, health status, income per year etc.), so it might be annoying and disturbing.

About the purchase, remember that you don't buy for blue, u buy for the thing u purchased, and it comes with blue (though the part "it comes with blue" is not very sure).

Most of the time, the programs on the surveys are from unconfirmed sources, so the virus blockers block it. Plus, according to Elric, the virus is to "contact the survey service that you've done downloaded and installed the program", it sends data to the site which can be seen as a trojan, hence it was blocked.

Ofc, I'm not saying there are no viruses at all. Don't download / purchase anything just to be safe.

I like the feature of DO NOT ATTACK weak players. This is really a good addition and will encourage new players.
