Remember those finger trap things? Where you put a finger in each end, and if you pulled, it would get tighter and stiff. If you pressed together, it would become loose and flexible.

Couldnt this technology be used in wearable clothing to assist people in performing tasks such as walking, climbing stairs etc without exerting as much energy?

Would be much less expensive and more practical than those robotic suits the military are working on.

Please remember you heard this from me first, before someone else with much more money produces this and becomes even richer.

those robotic suits are badass though

i dont think it would work as well as you would think. to get your clothes off you pull on them but this would just make them tighter restricting blood flow.

its not the fact its stupid, its the fact it wont work. just think, your trying to take your shirt off when it gets tighter the more you try to pull it off

Question is how. Your body works by the contraction of muscles to pull your bones around and with it, the rest of the body.

Loose is what our current clothing is. its free fitted.

Stiff on the outside is essentially knights armour, an exoskeleton of clothing.

I dont see how this makes walking or moving easier other than potentially killing people since their clothing cant be removed easily.
