let's talk about xp last... ofc when xp got involved then there is no way to tell which build is better.

Everyone has said it right, not much battles take place where u have the same amount of squads as the defenders. It is avoided by both sides. However u can't deny that sometimes, u'll be forced to have an equal battle (or even being underhanded).

I'm not saying damage build is good, but I'm not against it either. U can use the normal pro build, 2 range 1 armor, for almost all the battles where u totally overwhelm them. However I think it's better to have 1 or 2 full damage squads for each 10 normal squads, to use in case u're forced to have an equal battles which normally take more than 3 rounds.

actually their is :P

I build a program in java like 2 years ago that calculate battles its more sophisticated then BD calculator you can the exact HP each type of units have, that way you can calculate battles when you spyed attack enemy units 1 tick ago 2 ticks ago etc... I can easily add a patch that will take into consideration exp :mrgreen: ... just have to fined that program it must be stuck on my old pc in BD folder 8-)

anyway I did so many calculation in the past, damage unit just suck they arent any good.

putting 2 squads of damage isnt helping you, it might help you 1 time but what about all the other battles you will participate in ?... on those battles you would have been better with more rang.

and wat I said is using those damage squads on in the battles that u're forced to have an equal battle, a big, all-out battle, 100 vs 105 squads for example. For normal battles, where u can easily overwhelmed ur enemy, it's best to use the normal squads only to minimize the loss.

You totaly missed the update where the made dmg untis stronger didnt you?

You totaly missed the update where the made dmg untis stronger didnt you?


ya I heard about the patch to damage unit and they still suck my friend :lol:

by the way I would rather have rang 4 dmg units then rang 5 rang units the damage will be better to go with in most battles, and the rang will only be good when the enemy is at 1 HP.

I want rang 4 damags units but I will never have them :cry: :cry:

by the way I am the dark world I just have 2 acc and 2 lazy to use my main one all the time :geek:

LOL, 4 range dmg untis beat 5 range range units...(that was wierd to say). Its just like a dmg unit will beat a range unit.

ya ofcorse

but the ratio of rang changes 4/5 is bigger then 2/3 so the diffrence between them become smaller.

Damage units will probably come more handy the rang, ranges will only be better when fighting a weekend army in this case.

the damages will do more damge in 2 rounds then the rangs do in 3.

anyway its a hard choice when you talk about rang 5 vs rang 4 ;)

As i have said several times. It all depends on the situation. Sometimes having dmg is better than having the extra range. Infact on M3 right now i am using a very heavy dmg build to fight against a larger alliance witch isn taking me seriously and i am doing some serious damage to them.

Every time we start a new era and bring new members in this topic comes up.

They always say a 1/1/1 build is cheeper and has the same power. I did the simulations. Pretty much the only way to get them to be quiet is ask them what they would prefer to add battle experiance to their Range ships or share the exp with the damage ships.

If you are planning to build and army and get it killed in one or two attacks build some Damage, but if you plan to keep your army all era and gain experiance, build 2 range per 1 armor.
