Let's say a teammate got nuked on an outpost, and an army is coming to kill him off. You want to defend him with your full health squads nearby. If your squads are set to land at the same time as the attacking squads, will they be brought to 1 health before the fight, thus entering the battle at 1hp and a severe disadvantage, or will they fight first, and then be brought to 1hp from the radiation effect?

I have an idea of what is more probable, but this isn't something I feel comfortable testing in game, for obvious reasons ; P

I wouldn't take my word but I think they would be fine, as long as they land the same tick the attacking units land there should be no disadvantage. (even if your squads get knocked to 1hp so will his.)

no ur squads won't be hit by the nuke. Nukes only affect those which are present at the OP or are trying to move away 1 tick before the impact.

Hmm, I'm not asking about whether they'll get hurt by the nuke, I know they won't, it's the radiation effect I'm concerned with. I just want to know whether or not the radiation effect will bring my units to 1 health before the fight or after, again, landing at the same tick that the offensive squads attack.

Jake's reply raises another question though, attacking a nuked outpost brings offense to 1 health for the fight? o.o

as I said in my last post, nuke only affects those which are ON the target at the time it hits, or moved away 1 tick before it hits, not LAND at the time it hits. So if u send ur units at the same time as the nuke, u won't be hit.

about the radiation, it won't bring ur squads to 1 HP, it decrease 1HP out of every units. So if ur tank has 24 HP, after 1 tick of radiation it will have 23HP.

... I Am Not Asking About the nuke itself, I know how they work and how units can get hurt by them. This is veteran questions, not noob questions, I'm fully aware of how nukes work and what they affect, but this radiation/firestorm effect is a kind of new thing to me, being as I've only recently returned after more than a year vacation from Battledawn.

I was under the impression that the effect takes units to 1 health who are stationed on the outpost, I was not aware it only hurt 1health/tick. I asked Admin Joe (a couple of times, the well of information he is -.-) and that was more or less the response I got out of him.

So the residual effect only burns 1health /tick? Thanks, that clears a lot up and, realistically makes my initial question irrelevant. I can see where the obvious confusion also came in between us.

yep, only 1 HP per tick, it won't kill ur units though, so if ur units got hit by a nuke and get to 1HP. The radiation will just keep ur units 1 HP until it's over.

By saying this,
aister wrote:
Nukes only affect

radiation is included in nuke's affects.

While it is always reassuring to see that people can make full use of the quote button on forums, it would be nice if they didn't butcher what they are quoting to mix words and confuse readers. I suggest you touch up on the difference between 'affect' and 'effect.'

Radiation is an effect left behind by nukes in this game, but what aister was pointing out was what nukes affect when they hit something, in relation to units stationed at or recently leaving a target.

Sorry for not quoting both of your full posts. It would have been unnecessary. Also sorry for having terrible English?
