oh... I think Damage upgrade are more powerful then ranged one.. but in war it may get easily killed...!

By simulating I got

10 damage and 5 armours (Beam vehicles)
can kill
11 range and 4 armours (Beam vehicles)

it was an attempt to make the damage units more useful, yes it's more useful in close battle, however the probuild's advantages are too much to be flipped off, and those who are used to the probuild didn't see much advantages in the damage build to change theirs.

and as I said lots of times, damage build is only good at close battle, where u and the enemy has around the same amount of squads. In normal game, this is wat everyone would like to avoid best cuz that means lots of losses.

It's always best to use a completely outnumbered amount of squads to kill the enemy, with the support of nukes and spy attacks if possible.

5 armor : 10 ranged is the best.
And if you're doing a whole alliance chasis, do all the armored as anti mech/heavy.

aister is right damage is useful only for close battles which usually takes more than 3 or 4 rounds of battle. thats when the damage upgrade units attack.

thats the reason why some of the alliances mix damage units in their army in attacking with the alliance with the same power..

What attracts me to the damage build is the cheapness.

Per resource it is more effective overall.

per squad it is less effective overall.
