Increase competition (and token buying), decrease # of servers they'd need to maintain, and a host of other reasons such as those.

How would decreasing the amount of servers increase token buying?

the higher the level of competition the more red boosters need tokens to win.

they have added and removed many servers over the years, when i first started playing there was an e5 that wasnt solo, they had a havoc that last roughly a month and a half before finally closing the server :D wasnt for bout another year n a half till it was brought back as a solo world..

f6 came in about 2 years ago, and they closed it like last fall if i am correct
