That looks to me like a referendum on some financial treaty? It doesn't say anything about Ireland leaving the EU on there...

Edit: This is all I could find regarding the possible outcomes of the referendum;

Quote:
If a majority of the people vote yes, then this new subsection will be added to the Constitution and Ireland will ratify the Treaty. The Treaty will come into effect if it is ratified by at least 12 of the 17 countries which use the euro so unanimity is not required. If it comes into effect and Ireland has ratified it, the national legislation which the Treaty requires would have to be introduced within a year.

If a majority of the people vote no, this new subsection will not be added to the Constitution and the Government will not ratify the Treaty. The Treaty will come into effect if at least 12 euro area countries ratify it. Those countries which have ratified it will then be bound by its provisions.

This is the first time I've heard of this. I'll need to research a bit more about it because the video was a bit patronizing with that robot voice ending every sentence as a question... The terms seem to be quite excessive though. I'm glad Scotland isn't in the eurozone...

At the end of the day though, if this ESM suddenly demands unreasonable amounts of money and say, Finland decides not to. They will just drop out and adopt Norways krone to replace the euro. So the use of the word dictatorship in the video title just takes away from its credibility and will cause people not to take it seriously.

You could research it yes.. The articles this video is about are also given in the video description, you could read those.

And of course they could drop out of the EU and replace the Euro. However that means they will lose the money they have already invested in the ESM. They can not get the money back in any way, since they signed away their power to have any jurisdiction over the ESM.
