Okay, so the "Military Scan" option results in a scan that says "~50% accurate"

Then, the "Scout Castle" options says that the scan is "~25%" accurate.

My question is this... is the scan more accurate if the percentage is closer to "100% ?"

im pretty sure if it says "50%" it means that the number say: 200 can be off by 50% so that it could actualy be anywhere from 100 to 300. so if it was 25% it would be 150 to 250. ill check the wiki :geek:

Edit: http://wiki.battledawn.com/index.php?title=Scans wiki is confusing

Do you know for sure?

I'd rather not have to take a gamble on my enemy's Resource Scan saying they only have 2k gold and 2k wood when in reality, they have something like 8k of each.

EDIT: Actually, the wiki cleared it up for me. There was a line in there that said something like, "Advanced military scan is only ~25% accurate, which means it is much less accurate than the Military scan."

So, yeah, the lower the percentage, the less accurate it is. :( I really hope this guy doesn't just spring up an army on me.

What I do is get a military scan, then double the number. That's the maximum number of units they can have.

Don't overthink that... It makes you double-guess yourself and it doesn't make you happy.

I believe the wiki is wrong. 50% is less accurate than 25%.

Take example there's 100 inf on Dawn's OP 1.

If I use Milit Scan, it'll tell me +/- 50% of what is on the OP, meaning 100/2=50. So it'll either tell me anything from 50 inf to 100 inf. Because 100-50 is 50, and 100+50 is 150.

If I use Adv Scan, it'll tell me +/- 25% of what is on the OP, 100/4=25. So it'll either tell me anything from 75 inf to 100 inf. 100-25 is 75, 100+25 is 125.

Oh. So, the '~' symbol actually means something like "margin of error?" The lower the chance of error, the better?

Yes.. There is always a lot of confusion about this. The military scan is less accurate than the advanced military scan.

The '-' is a minus symbol. Accuracy is 100% as default.

Accuracy: -25%
100% - 25% = 75%

Accuracy: -50%
100% - 50% = 50%
