i don't know much about socialism
but as someone who has lived in a "half-communism" country, I say the communism government is a very good greed bait. You have full power, you have full control over the underman, cuz you can make them "promoted" or "demoted" if you like. And plus, the money you will make is not small, apart from the main, legal salary, you will get a lot from taking money from public projects, as well as bribery.
Not that I say communism is a bad idea, or good. Both Mfreak and Gerber are right, All kind of government is good if you have a good leader, hell, even dictatorship will be good if that's the case. But the problem is that the power that the government itself give you, as well as the status, the money, etc. all make people drunk and get out of their good intention.
Even if they don't, there will be people who will...

Even if they don't, there will be people who will... Which is why people need to vote there leaders, to try the best we can to make sure the leader isn't just a power hungry Tyrant.

Quote: Also the debt would have never gotten so bad if it wasn't for government becoming bigger and bigger in the first place! Government ran programs are bankrupting the country and you want more of that? XD The problem is money is created out of DEBT. Where does money come from? The government just prints it in exchange for bonds and such. So it means that as soon as a dollar is printed, the US government is in debt. They owe 1 dollar to the Federal reserve.

Iwanted to once again bump this topic and also bring this to the attention of the people viewing this thread.
Here is a quote from Ron Paul:
"I want to use all my strength, to resist the notion that I can run your lives, or run the economy, or run the world. I want to use that strength to repeal and reject that notion, and stand up and defend the principles of liberty." -Congressman Ron Paul
