If Taiwan wins, China has to accept Taiwan as a independance country, but then they would shut off trade and probably convince the other countries to do so as well, for at least a few years.

If the war won't break out, the same thing will happen, China stop trading, other countries limit trade, forcing Taiwan to collapse and join China...

Taiwan fulfills all requirements for the establishment of a new country. Also, the PRC has not done anything in Taiwan since 1949. Only the ROC rules Taiwan. If Taiwan is recognized by all as a new country, I doubt all the fear, hatred and mistrust would do either sides well. And I'd better get the hell outta here, fast.
