Naah he will last. They have a military first policy. He is not gonna fight, he is just gonna fund the military like everyone else did. The country follows the Juche idealogy - self reliance. And they are indoctrinated.

Anyway, the only solution to end North Korea and help the people there, is to peacefully reunite South Korea and North Korea. Problem is the vastly different living standards, vastly different governments, infrastructure available etc.,

not to mention the grief deep inside the people's heart, though some big guys of both sides are trying to solve this but it seems a very hard thing to do :|

You guys are looking at North Korea as if their government is terrible. They are a strong country and alot of the people there are not as bad off as you think in fact. I would say South Korea is even worse off.

And you are right it reminds me entirely of the American Civil war in terms of infrastructure. You have the industrial north, and the agricultural south. If they unite it would form a stronger country. The north would have the agricultural base to further their industrial exploits.

The only issue with NK is that the son is inheriting rule which will not go well. We can speculate all we want but only time will tell. All the evedince points towards the son getting overthrown. Just look at what happened in Egypt this year

North Korea is a strong counry alright. But am talking about the economic strain it might put on the South Koreans if united. There will be stigma toward north koreans, the poorly developed north vs the south, idealogies etc will definitely be challenges. Not to mention, healthcare and education which is totally different in the north. Will take a lot of effort to bridge these gaps.

not to mention the migration will happen, if they managed to get rid of the hatred, which is the major problems of all the developing as well as developed country. Ppl will leave their land, and move to the city, hoping to find a good job.

But then since they don't have much knowledge and skill, they won't find any good job and probably be homeless, or stay in poor houses.

This will cause a great strain to education, health care, security as well as other things in the city. So it's another hard thing to do.

Uniting North and South Korea is not an easy job, but as they all share the name Korea, I always want them to be united. Hope it's not too far away.

The new leader won't be popular. He's like 30 and he'll be leader of a country where elders are respected, not younger people.

not

the elder are respected, yes
the younger are not, no

even if they are younger, they are higher. And such has more power, like it or not, you will have to respect him. Or at least pretend to.

Just think of it like in BD Forum, Idc if Ferr3t is younger, if I give him enough red tokens he may try to make me a mod. With that thinking in mind, I'll pretend to respect Ferr3t and will always pretend to say Ferr3t's right and you are wrong.

Ironically, if you don't give Ferr3t tokens, he will ignore you when he needs someone for the mod, even if you work like crazy and super effective, he will pick a total noob, but give him tokens, to be a mod.

That's the problem with that kind of government.

Note: the story about Ferr3t and a total noob is just a fiction, if it's a true story then... idk :?

watever u guys say Kim Jong's death means nothing until there is a real change a real revolution in NK... Something like the Jasmine revolution in Arab nations which overthrew so many dictators..
NK has become more of a fascist nation than communist nation..
