Well, to be a bit more serious. I don't live in America so I don't get all the info you guys get, but from what I've heard I would have problems finding a republican candidate that I would vote for. Your making a big assumption assuming Americans get alot of information. Most of what news is in america, is "What celeberty did what TODAY!" as for elections its nearly all bias in the media, and to be viewed as a child's opinion.

Its just like the politics of every other country. Talk big before you get elected. Play the same game after you get elected. Its all about keeping "american interests" safe. By that I mean, making war profiteering legal and probably give it a "politically correct" twist.

No sense in voting for the United States Presidencya s none of our votes count. So there isn't really any point to it. Not to mention that in the US government the President does nothing so there is no reason to bother electing him anyway

I could definitely attend peace summits, attend wine tastings go on at least 5 vacations every year. Say I going to get rid of Guantanamo bay and yet it still exists and take credit for Osama's death when really I ahd nothing to do with it. Dude presidents don't do anything and can't do anything.

Most Obama supports have no background knowledge on what actually takes place - nor laws that are passed. Most only think "he gave us money, and he promised change"
In the real world, the only change that was given was from Bad to worse.
The word America use to mean something; now its just a joke, in passing for passer-byres of other nations.
Change requires someone who questions the status Quo, not someone who runs with the flow at full steam like, Bush or Obama.
Last thing we need is another liar.

Indeed the name America used to mean something else. It used to be a country people used to ASPIRE to move to. And of course contribute in the process. It used to offer something that no other country did. But now its (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..) up. I read about the recent NDAA 2012 bill. I wanted to move there for higher studies and work and even am reconsidering. I wont live in a place where freedom is restricted and you could get detained arbitrarily. For the first time I feel like I am not safe in the US. Can you (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..) believe it. Not safe in the US!! Gerberbaby is right. Whoever becomes president, be it Obama, Bush or Ron Paul, its their game in the end. The game that powerful people play on us puppets. It wont make any difference in my opinion.

Insane?! Exactly what is it that RP says that is insane? The ONLY thing I have ever heard him say that seemed a little off was a comment he made about abortion. I really could care less. I am pro choice to an extent, but I certainly dont believe in later term abortions. If the baby has eyes, brain head fingers and toes, you have waited too long. I guess in a way RP agreed with me on that, because he thinks that it is insane that you can pay a doctor to kill your baby the day before you give birth to it and it is legal. If you do the same thing the day after giving birth, you commit murder. You have to admit, that certainly doesn't make alot of sense, but its beside the point.
I challenge anyone whom calls Ron Paul insane to show me why he is insane instead of just saying he is.
IMHO changing your story for different audiences is insane. Treating politics like WWE wrestling is insane. Selling out to the highest bidder as an elected representative is insane.
Show me how ANYTHING RP has said or done trumps any of those things I just mention as far as being insane, because that to me is insanity. RP is the ONLY person out there who stands by the quickly eroding constitution of this country. Others might claim it, but if you really check their record for telling people what they want to hear (insanity) vs actually doing what they tell the people....Well RP is gonna win out every time.
You cant accuse the man of flip-flopping to suit a demographic of voters. He doesnt.
You cant accuse him of being corrupt, because his history SHOWS that he is not.
If you think going with corporate puppets like Obama, Huckabee, Perry, Romney and OMG!!!! Newt Gingrich!>??!?!??!?!! I mean for the love of God!, is going to change ANYTHING about the quickly disappearing freedoms that Americans seem to just take for granted....well. Good luck to you.
How can you look at corrupt politicians and say "meh", and look at someone like Ron Paul and think "insane"??
Wow. CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox
they have really screwed my people up. I mean really. How do you identify insane in this case? And what does that perception say about your priorities as an American voter??
The NDAA amendment passed earlier this month removes your right as an American citezen, to Due Process and a fair trial if you are even SUSPECTED of being associated, sympathetic to, or cooperating in ANY WAY with anyone the government labels as a terrorist. The language used in these amendments are VERY broad, open-ended and definitely open to interpretation. If you somehow rationalize that this is done with the best intentions, then you are naive. The Patriot act was done in the same vein, and has been repeatedly used to break the law and has been aimed at American Citizens.
What is more, if they accuse you of this, they instantly strip you of your citizenship of the country. This allows them to detain you without charge or trial FOREVER if they see fit.
What is more the same amendments also authorize the military to act as a domestic police force. I have ALOT of police officers in my family, and this is disconcerting to them as well! They know the rules, the law and the score, as well as what this means to the country.
If you dont know what it means for this country, you need to research the laws regarding Posse Comitatus.
More and more of the Government apparatus for this "global war on terror" is aimed back at the American people as time wears on. Good lucky flying without gitting groped or sent through a naked-body x ray machine. NOTE: The TSA has yet, to date, not been found to have foiled ANY plots against this country. EVER.
Really. Which of those corrupt, lobbyist loving rich guys on that stage do you think are going to change this course of eroding the foundation of this country? If you love this country, how can you see stuff like this and NOT be concerned. I mean really.
Obama!?! "Change We Can Believe In". Do you know how he raised his campaign funds?
Do you people think that corruption is just some fairy tale monster that doesn't exist in the real world?! You better wake up folks. And soon.

You do realize guys that we already did this right? This just makes it officially "legal" As for why the cops who are in your family don't like it. Meh how would you like it if someone exerted authority over you? I garuntee they don't like it when the FBI comes in and takes control over one of their cases. They don't nike having control exerted over them so it is no surprise. Well considering I am strongly in favor of a socialist government instead of a democracy. I actually like and support the NDAA bill, people may have fantasies of peace in the world but that won't happen. As long as we have certain idiots and puppets of large industries in the senate we are at a disadvantage. We can't let the large public vote. While a few may be educated enough to make the correct decisions the majority are not. Just think how stupid the AVERAGE american is! Now what do you think of when I inform you that 50% of Americans are even more stupid then that. It is disgracing and embarrassing that what should be a world power and we are held from that by cooprperate controlling our government. False! Almost every president has done nothing. You want a perfect example look at John Adams. He just chilled there for 4 years didn't even make any formal announcements besides backing up what Washington said when we declared we would stay out of foreign politics. As for did anything happen in Obama's term that he wanted to happen I would say yes to quite a few. Namely: Don't Ask Don't Tell was repealed. We have withdrawn out of Iraq (fully now) at the beginning of his term he only withdrew the combative troops. Obamacare His financial plan passed So he did do things. The question then becomes wether or not he did the RIGHT things. Also wether he actually did them as really it was the senate.
