My idea is to use a map our solar system. Non colony places would be the asteroid fields, the planets, the sun, and solar flares through out the map. Also Mars and Earth would have smoke coming of them for the wars raged on them. This is my picture I know it is bad but I dont care. The black circles are planets red are the solar flars, the brown is the Asteroid field.

I came up with a suggestion that I just could't throw away.

The red areas are the buildable areas.

In this design there will be only 9 big areas to colonise (the centre one will most likely be taken earlier). This means alliances will have to rush or fight for a place in this world.

All the circular areas will have eough reach to the centre of the galaxy.

See you all on the battle field.

how is it too little space? the tails r much much bigger than the tails of a spiral galaxy

Red dots = Asteroids
Black Spaces = Colony placement (NOTE: Not the tiny gaps in the asteroids >_>)

Any background can be added if chosen, I can post one with a background that could look good if needed/asked for.

Here is my first entry:

Brown=asteroids
Black=build-able space

The size of the rings can be tweaked to allow enough space if necessary. The admin can place his ship in the middle asteroid clump if they want to. Gas/mineral mines can be sprinkled throughout, preferable on the asteroid belts.

I have had alot of experience with BD on another account that I lost the password to (and email). :cry:
