well holmes, its just not cool watching your conquers just sit for twice the ammount.. if they r inactive let us get some for the trouble of conquering them or boot em.

I guess the only upside to conquering is the rank cause once the colonies r conquered they go on vacation. lol.. rediculous :?:

300 ticks of uninterrupted and unchallenged taxation from a colony is not enough...?

If you conquer a colony and it goes on vacation due to inactivity and you do not get resources for that colony in vacation I think there should at least be some type of bonus for the Conquerer.

my idea would be this:

When a inactive colony gets put into auto vacation mode and gets deleted due to inactivity his or her Conquerer should receive some type of razing bonus and the deleted colony should act as a razed OP with an extra amount of resources and or workers given to the Conquerer.

I think that would balance out right for everybody and i think it would be an idea many would agree with. it would also encourage players to be more active and trying to actually play the game wich would lead to less members even going into auto vacation mode.

Southern Smoke's idea does have some appeal, that would at least be better than the current system for auto-vacation and deletion, however, here's the issue:

As one gets conquers and expands his/her positions using the income, his/her expansions are being supported by the income from his/her conquers, whether they are active or inactive. However, if these conquers start hitting the 300-tick mark and one loses that source of income, one's future conquers will simply replace the now-lost income. As such, this will essentially put a limit on the player's ability to become more powerful, and force the player to have to be continually conquering other players in order to just sustain their income.

Further, as the round goes on and the less active, and therefore easier to conquer, players disappear, which leaves less people for one to conquer, and can then leave one to essentially become more or less too big to support, and the player will lose any accomplishment. As such, all but the very best players who conquer the active and competent players will lose their ability to grow in power and scope throughout the game.

Your thoughts, Andrew?
