hmm I'm no expert but it seems obvious to me tht their has been a steady decline in BD players over the year and while trying to get the minority of Red boosters to buy more boosts may be helpful in the short term what's really needed is an increase in the amount of new players................
Some of you have suggested tht hundreds of new players join every era only to quit before their protection is over and be deleted..........While I'm not convinced tht all of those colonies are actual players this does suggest a disturbing trend as without new players it's only a matter of time before this game we all love is no longer financially viable to be offered for free..............So perhaps instead of bickering about the balance between boosters and non-boosters we should be looking at what effect this update has on new and would be players..............
The scoring update provides a slight deterrence to bullying and the daily boost provides a quicker income stream for noobs who usually have very low incomes as they are conquered or in weak alliances while simultaneously promoting activity.............This is good for all of us new players will have more income to play with and incentive to log in atleast once a day for their boost which will mean less deleted conquers

............ Lets be honest it's unlikely tht new players know how to abuse the token system and use blues for max benefit so the new system will simplify things for em
Battle Dawn is very much a community orientated game as we can see from the many responses to this thread which is great

............ but this in itself makes it very difficult for new players since the community is small and close knit and they don't know many players it becomes very hard for them to find an alliance and learn the game................. While their are many guides and even a mentoring program for those who are willing to seek help their is little strategic support for those who just wanna start playing in regards to this the in game mission colonies and tutorial do a great job of explaining how to use the many features of BD they lack context and foster a false sense of understanding leading to hopelessness............. New players become frustrated thinking they know how to do everything as they've been through the tutorials but styll can't accomplish much.............. I remember many moons ago when I first started playing their existed a Noob alliance led by admin perhaps something similar led by volunteer mentors would allow new players to integrate more fully into the BD community as well as provide them context in which to practice using the many tools available in game which they've already learnt through tutorials and in game mission colonies as no guide or tutorial can replace actual experience
Well this concludes my Rant sorry if I have wasted your time
