Yeah I have never seen an alliance so insecure. Looks like certain people in WIND cant see us do well. The NAP was made till tick 500 (extended after tick 200 odd). Tick 288, Michael confirms the NAP stands. And then Ourania (Stawberry), who doesn't have anything to do with the NAP, declares war on us at tick 305 while we are in the middle of a war with NATO.

Who are the backstabbers here? Us? NO!!

And another funny thing. They calculated their delays wrong, and sent their units 2 ticks earlier, so we started spamming, but they didnt have anyone online. So they asked us to extend the nap till tick 310

These guys are just unbelievable.

Also, ask anyone we have played with or against. Since the 3 eras we have played serious, we have not once broken our word to anyone. Infact this has lead to me (bloodthirsty :D ) fighting with gipsy, but we have never broken a NAP. Seems doing good at all causes jealousy.

:GASP: theres backstabbing going on in battledawn?!

hey i dont like it either but im committed to play this round through with the alliance i chose to play with. this is not the first time its happened and it will not be the last.

part of the game is politics. deals are made with many alliances (like countries). two deals end up conflicting with each other (like 'entangling alliances' of real world wars - one and two). next thing you know one is chosen over the other and the "other" deal gets broken.

this is part of the game. either play it, or decide the game is too much to handle and decide not to next round.

the insults, inflammatory remarks and immature jabs in broadcast just show ones immaturity and indeed show weakness.

we can play without the drama right? someone upsets you, keep it in mind for next round - dont play/trust that person. filling broadcast with whining and insults only lowers others impressions of yourselves.

IAN wants to talk about "honor" and im talking about "sportsmenship". war should be made for honorable reasons and carried out in a machiavellian manner to maximize gains and minimize losses. "the art of war is the art of deception". thats sun tzu taken from the art of war - a "must read" in any modern war college.

lets act respectful, mature, and kill each other in game. lets stop the insults, the whiney drama and name calling. it shows weakness. control your emotions because THAT can be exploited by your opponents (sun tzu as well...).

haha

Sure there is backstabbing. Just mostly not within 1 tick between conforming a nap and breaking it.

Its true that deals get broken, one alliance is chosen over another etc. But the thing is, deals cant be changed within 2 ticks of confirming that the NAP holds good, just cuz one player is paranoic. Infact a couple of players I spoke to in Wind didn't like the decision either. We are sportive people too. If war breaks out at the right time, and then Wind rightfully bests us, then we would say good job.

Now Sun Tzu, Art of War...pffff...well whatever :D

And last of all, hey, no one can disagree a bit of drama is infact fun

sun tzu covers that too. its found in the chapter instructing the proper use of incendiary attacks. :)

yes the decision to war was sudden and regardless of how i personally felt about it the verge of or sudden declaration of a war is NOT the time to change my stance of being a committed team player for the alliance i chose to fly with for the round. there are generals and there are soldiers and i made it clear to some within the first 20 ticks i had no desire to lead and just wanted to shoot and reload and have others tell me where to point the boom-stick.

im still a new face with this WIND crew and im basically a unknown amonst all the elements in general. i personally dont like the use of sub alliances and feel that violates a sense of honor to have expendable minions soften up a opponent for you but i understand it is a completely acceptable form of game play within battle dawn. you gotta love conscripts.

as sudden and unexpected as it was at you least you have to give WIND credit for announcing their intentions before actually doing it. as i recall it was a decision to rush to the aid of a ally at the time, NATO who i believe solidified a immediate NAP between you two so you could switch your focus on us. then again thats all about the politics of the game...
