Res mL UE and F69 all enjoyed the #1 position with a comfortable lead at one point in the era. F69 just finished really well But i do agree the 24 alliance limit has usually left each sever with one or two real contenders

Yeah.
When I think about it most eras end like that.
There are typically 2 strong alliances, one slightly stronger, and then those 2 alliances go to war.
Then one alliance (usually the stronger one) wipes out the other one very fast.
And then sometimes the alliances never go to war if they are very even.
Like in Mars 2 DOOM lost incredibly fast to Meow.
But then there can also be backstabs, like in Mars 1 UA fell in a few days.
Now LoS is at a huge lead just like Meow.
