Wow.. So he is unbanned this quick? His intentions were to ruin 14 players eras. He didn't even get a 14 tick ban. Seth is complaing about subs in E4 like none other. But this is way more extreme. Its called code of conduct. Being a legit player and not abusing the system to ruin other people's eras with illeagal tactics. Now KoH is marching around and parading he got unbanned for this crazy reason why he got banned. I am sure I can get near 50 players to place spam colonies in africa and pay them each 100 tokens so they can build enough spam colonies. That would crippple KoH's system in Africa. But if I did that KoH would flip out and proably threaten to sue me. But one single member abused the system to ruin an entire allinace and he didn't even get a full day ban? Andrew, Joe, Seth, and other admins.. fix the problem. You make the decisons, then you can fix the problems. Everyone has a million ideas. It is up to you guys to fix the system if you want all the vets to stay here to get the younger geneteration of BD players heavily involed in the community. If you decied to ingore the problem then BD will slip even more on the downward spriwl it is on.
btw: I failed 4th grade spelling so I know I can't spell! BAD SPELLERS UNTIE!

In fairness Andrew and with this level of debate and opinion on the subject I think we are entitled to know why the ban was so short.
Is this just a case of KoH crying until they got their way?
The case against the player was clear cut so what caused the U-turn ?

In my opinion the staff shouldn't have backed down to them, even if they felt that maybe he SHOULD be unbanned due to the fact that he threatned to sue. Now it looks as though the backed down since they didn't want to get sued and it was a major victory for 'them'

I'm sure the intentions were not to permanently ban him in the first place. Although, I do agree he should have been when he used these tactics. I feel he should have been given perm until appealed and gave a reasonable excuse for what he did wrong. Typically, I never side with the staff but Daemon does purchase about $700 worth per era so he's paying a lot of their pay checks.

With Daemon in, the staff wins more than they do, losing him. He is a big spender. And I do believe he would have definitely let them know this fact. Lot of people use this tactic, asking friends to spam and jam for them. The fact that Daemon is a big spender must have swayed the decision in his favor. After all, he is a big customer for BD. And customer is king The only thing is, if only all customers were treated that way

Not only that, but WAW received no compensation for what happened.

What should BD care are fix the problems asap. Hopefully the game will soon be more stable and less complain

There will be less complaints when customer service is better. Plain and simple. Right now the game is being perceived as more of an expenditure than entertainment. Expenditures are fine as long as bugs are fixed frequently, the game is not made too restrictive , resulting in too much of dependency on tokens etc. That drives people out of the game, and those who stay keep complaining. As much as people say, there are lots of problems in BD, only a handful have taken any interest in Kevin's thread, which is a survey about problems with Battledawn. Here is the link - go post all of your complaints there, so in future we have a list of problems that we can brainstorm on and hopefully attempt to fix. viewtopic.php?f=75&t=11417

Let me make something very clear...I do not play with words so neither should anyone here. Speculating about why I got unbanned and accusing me of "bribing" admins in one way or another is a serious offense
My answer and defense to Andrew was simple...there is nowhere in the TOS said or even implied that sending tokens to a friend who is NOT a multi is illegal....BD is a game of strategy and war so if you can get a friend to help in a war that is in no way cheating. Also there is a send tokens button there...if you do not want tokens to be sent outside an alliance just remove it.
The Terms of Service that Andrew quoted give BD absolute and unilateral power to revoke service at their absolute and sole discretion...that goes against customer protection acts in many countries.
So the solution here is simple...just list all the rules in the New section and on the forum...simple, transparent, efficient. That way I know what I can and cannot do and don't go into "grey areas", as Andrew called them. List that "supporting a spamming colony" is bannable, define what spamming colony is, and next time i do it i will ask for perm ban myself.
Let's for once try and be constructive and try to improve BD rather than launch false accusations
