It seems teamwork has forgotten in battledawn leaving team players/leaders obsolete. Leaders don't need to have skill any more. So I am going to work towards a team based Battledawn again. The first time I lead a team based allaince was TLS I took every new player in my area and organized them into a hive taught them tactics and logistics. We became a insanely effective team. Thwarting large scale attacks and gaining area quickly. We were never conquered despite the efforts of several allainces. We were not first place but it was much more fun and fulfilling then the solo act that allainces play now. Now that solo acts rule team based allainces can now smash worlds into pieces. However the downsides you need to have active members really active. You also need members willing to follow orders no matter how insane they sound. New players are very good at this if they have a leader they love and trust. Need a capable and active leader who cares more for his allaince then himself and is willing to allow his/her members vote or agree on a action that best fits the allainces needs. Its hella fun and totally worth it whether you lose or not and more in likely they will follow you into other rounds due to great leadership.
