A well designed application should not be losing it's session data, even if the client is lagging/slow. Slow connections should manifest on client side, it should not prevent you from logging in nor should session info be lost.
There is clearly a problem relating to maintaining my session, we just need to find out what it is. Judging from various posts I've seen problems relating to logging in is a notorious problem with your game.
My request stands: please get the developer(s) involved.
P.S. I wonder how many players you have lost over this issue...

Sorry if I came off the wrong way. I was not suggesting that I was absolutely certain that connectivity issues are the case here, but rather trying to rule this out as a potential cause.
Wagging your finger and telling me what a good application does or doesn't do does not help you and it definitely doesn't help me help you. Especially when I ask you to try something for me or if you can provide a traceroute etc, and you completely ignore me just to tell me how inadequate things are. You are rejecting the help before it is given, and also complaining about the quality before it is rendered or before you allow yourself to be helped. If this is the path you wish to take, I fear I wont be able to help you at all!
I am leaning on connectivity as an issue simply because I myself have had this issue due to conditions on my local network. The symptoms were the same, whether or not it 'should' be that way doesn't rule it out as a possible root. Getting another developer in here will not change that, because he will likely start in the same place I start. Rule out the simplest possible causes first and move on to the more complex causes later.
I can rule out many things simply because of the isolated nature of this incident. We always get people complaining about login problems, but 99% of the time clearing the cache and cookies resolves the issue. In your case, it doesn't seem like anything conventional works. Another big clue is that there aren't tons of people coming and saying the same thing you are. Matter of fact, it is quite the opposite. There are maybe 4 or 5 players stating the same thing as you. When compared to the several thousand active players we cycle daily, that qualifies as isolated. If there were something on our end failing or completely malfunctioning, we would be inundated with complains identical to yours, which we currently are not.
Also, just to clarify, I did say I would try to see if there is anything on this end that could possibly have changed to cause higher loading times or failures on network time outs. Again, at this point due to the lack of reciprocal exchange of information here, I simply don't have enough information either way to do any good! I cannot recreate this bug other than causing things to happen on my network, and I don't personally know of anyone playing and having the issue in which I can go and sit in front of their PC and see what I can find! Therefore, I rely on information given to me in order to track and isolate. If the information simply isn't there, Neither is the help. I can neither rule out or verify any potential cause of a problem.
You see, its always a battle to include player-requested content, or to keep things looking nice & flashy or to be able to do more, more features etc etc, but at the same time players want super fast loading etc, and sometimes it is just impossible to keep loading times down. The issue here is that I have found similar cases (including my own) that were caused at the root by connectivity issues. I cannot proceed in seeing if there is anything that can be done to correct this for you or anyone else experiencing the same issue until I can either verify it as a cause or rule it out.
So...now can you try what I asked you to try? Can you now provide me with the traceroute information I asked for (if so, you dont have to post publicly here if you don't wish to. You can PM me the info if you like) ?
Thank you for your continued patience.

Seth, I'm not ignoring you. I sent you the tracert and ping results a few days ago already i.e. 08/10/2010 10:47 AM (GMT +2)
Just logging in to type this message is a mission so others with the same problem as me most likely can't report it (unless they read this post and find out how), and just give up.
Your contact screen is broken too. Before this post I tried reporting the issue using your contact page but it kept saying that the verification number is wrong but I know I type the right things. So others may not be able to report via this link either.
There could be many that you don't know of. Unless we find the cause, we can't be sure.
As I see it, you're not just helping me, I'm helping you too (and possibly others with the same problem) - I could quite easily just give up on this and go my merry way and you'd still have this problem - but I chose to rather try and get to the bottom of this. I'm in software development too, so I know how difficult and frustrating it can be to find and fix an error you can't reproduce.
I don't know your background Seth, so if you are one of the developers, then I'm talking to the right person. Excuse me if I offended you.
What I can also do is provide you with a complete TCP traffic conversation (using Wireshark) if that might help.
@haloreach101 Don't get your titties in a twist bro.
