First of all, i came up with a new strategy, a winning strategy. Everyone is saying that i am wrong. Someone answer me, my call of help.

INFANTRY SQUAD
What i figured out is that if you have 15 vehicles coming towards you, you can beat them with 15 range infantry and 15 defense infantry that are using beam weapons. This 15/15 squad will always win with the least amount of resources lost in the battle and with a good performance. And it costs less resources or the same as the enemy's squad.

VEHICLE SQUAD
If you have 10 tanks coming, you use 8 range vehicles and 7 defense vehicles that use explosive weapon. This 8/7 squad will always with against tanks with the least amount of resources lost and is the cheapest. It also costs the same or less resources to produce.

TANK SQUAD
If you have 30 infantry coming to you, you recruit 7 range tanks and 3 defense tanks that us concussive weapon. This 7/3 squad will always win with the least amount of resources lost to the infantry. And it also costs the same or less resources to produce.

CONCLUSION...
Use 15RANGE/15DEFENSE infantry formula to beat vehicles.
Use 8RANGE/7DEFENSE vehicle formula to beat tanks.
Use 7RANGE/3DEFENSE tank formula to beat infantry.
The 7/3 formula applies only to tanks. Not to other chassis as wildly believed by many players, experts, yes you moderator and yes you admin. Please, tell admins about this post. Give me their opinion. Experts post. I just want clarification and advice that's all. Don't call me noob or whatever, if you don't have anything productive to say or contribute.

now i haven't done the tests for this but nearly all vets tell people to use around a 1/3 armor/range ratio in their squads for doing the most damage in the first round but still keeping their range relatively safe

This proves vehicle superiority. According to calculator.

I know the 1/3, but i think i have found better formulas in order to minimize loses of resources. What are others opinion?

when dealing with equal number of squads your is slightly better at conserving metal but worse at saving units but most peoples only attack with overwhelming number at which point yours becomes worse in every way

also when out numbered 1/3 does more damage before dying

yours way is better when army size is the same and you have the chassis advantage and even then it is only better at saving metal and oil but workers are more valuable to top players

True, true.
So a 21 range/ 9 defense infantry squad is better, it does more damage if outnumbered and loses less units when attacked.

But what about vehicles though? 11 range and 4 defense performs as well as 8 range and 7 defense, however, 8/7 vehicles lose less resources. In the end, 11/4 does more damage when outnumbered. But you save the same number of range units in a fair battle. What ratios for squads do you use?

It really depends on your enemy and their chassis/weapon type.

but most fights in bd are not fair normally one side has a distinct advantage in numbers and no matter whether it is you or your enemy 1/3 ratio is better

as for my ratios i use

9/21
5/10
3/7

The calculator, I think, does not account for damage bonuses.

Inf do 25% extra vs Vehicles
Veh do 25% extra vs Tanks
Tanks do no bonus

Might be worth testing that all of those are calculating correctly before you use the calculator as an exact thing.

Well then i ques these are the best formulas:

7Range/3Defense for tanks
21Range/9Defense for infantry
11Range/4Defense for vehicles

Why not 10/5 for vehicles? Because of this:
10/5
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/3506 ... 202634.png
vs
11/4
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/2432 ... 202735.png

*Routhy: This calculator is accurate and does use the 25% thingy. But what it fails to do is that it attacks beam weapons first instead of explosives.

**This could be worthy of a sticky, since it contains useful information.

because the one with more range have better chance ending battles in one round, and fights are almost never equal on both sides, atleast not with pro players
