Alright so I have my shield on during a war as a percaution and I happen to discover the following
some noob is attacking me since I was offline at the time it got to the whole shield activation delayed eta 1

Since I cannot find a way to deactivate my shield this is affecting me in 2 negative ways

1: the noob is burning the energy ment for protection against mass attacks
2: I need to keep more squads on the area for the entire shield duration

this thread is to:

A: confirm that there is no way to deactivate your shield once enabled
B: if A is correct to find out if there is a specifc reason for this

You cannot deactivate your shield once it has been activated.

You can't turn off the shield, the shield has to run its course.

yea i dont like this sheild thing it how about we make so it has a income force min before it becomes active!
because now 1 inf will set it off and i dont mind the noobs attacking me most of the time i can easily defend them. and would perfer to defend them
and not use an shield.
besides old bd we didnt always use it but we had a choice then at least this way we have some say in how its used instead of no say

You don't have to keep your shield on standby if you don't want to.
