Thats the problem with beta anything, you never know how it is going to react, or be cross-compatible with things. FF 12 is a beta @ the moment, so thats a risk you take.

Like you said, it is only a small annoyance, but the fix is as simple as uninstalling 12 and re-installing the current live version...
