Really there should be an option #4 replant the a section of the forest elsewhere, mine, move them back again, repeat process.
But in the absence of any long term strategies in this game option #3

But in the absence of any long term strategies in this game option #3 the process of forestation is very long, and simply moving the forest is just simply unthinkable.

While most people here seem to understand that completely destroying the rainforest, is a BAD idea many also think that it's acceptable to mine a part of it. But while only a small part may be mined, the effects will be further reaching. For example: -Contamination from the mine, can affect far further than the site of the mine. And it's not just the toxic and acidic chemicals that are a problem, even silt entering the water supply can have devastating effects.
-Access roads will be required to bring in mining equipment, and export the ore, which will mean further deforestation and pollution, to build theses roads.
-Deforestation can lead to erosion, which can lead to mudslides, which can effect other areas, leading to deforestation is those areas, leading to more erosion etc.
-Noise pollution from heavy mining equipment can drive away fauna from a large surrounding area, causing problems in the areas they're displaced from (over vegetation), and the areas they're displaced too (over grazing).
And that's just the tip of the slowly melting iceburg Mining in the rainforest will cause all the afore mentioned problems, and more, which will cascade to cause more problems, and so on, so in the end, one "small" mine, can have devastating, and irreversible effects on a far larger area, and a notable effect on the whole region. So I say to you all; VOTE OPTION #2

So, I'm the only one giving reasons for my decision then? No one else want to debate the issue? Does anyone even read my arguments? (I'ma gonna assume yes, seeing as most people were posting #3 before my post, and not most people are choosing #2 )
