option #2My reasons against the others.
#1: cruel meat farming methods.
There are 2 reasons I'm against using cruel faming methods:
A-It's cruel.
Even if you don't personally care about animals, if cruelty to animals is socially acceptable, then cruelty in general becomes more socially acceptable, and that means more crime, decreasing both economy and happiness.
B-It's lower quality.
Many cruel faming methods are a means of cutting cost, but also provide a lower quality of product, both taste-wise, and health-wise, and even though there may be an initial rise in costs, the increase in health (and saving in healthcare costs) will soon offset this.
#3: Banning meat.
Humans eat meat. That's just a fact of nature.
Animals are eaten by other animals all the time, also a fact.
Meat is tasty, and a good source of protein.
uh... what else... okay, I wont go on arguing against this point, because this point doesn't really have anything standing for it.
#4: Tax on cruelty.
Okay, this one is silly, and could increase the amount of cruelty, as extra-cruelty gourmet meat would become all the rage amongst rich people (yes, rich people are stupid, and will buy expensive stuff just because it's expensive, just look at the fashion industry).
