Kevin, its for 2 reasons.
1. To make the game more interesting.
2. To stop people from asking questions which are too personal as people would have to answer the questions themselves aswell.

How do you rank yourself as a player when you were at your prime in relation to other players? Out of all of BD, I'd say I'm between 150-200. By current players.
