you get a crystal by reaching 20 power or taking it from someone else. They pretty much boost your score and rank.

lol ... they just give a boost of 1 metal and oil per tick ( i mean each crystal) and they give 10 scre...thats it...

Crystals are basically trophies.
You obtain crystals when reaching 20+ power. They boost your score by 10.
Crystals also boost your metal and oil by 1 each crystal. The more the better!

You can also obtain crystals by taking them from other players. A crystal is a Spoil.
