1.Terrain:
Different terrains with random objects and elements like Rocks or Water or even usable environment objects like explosive or oil will add to strategy depth while it will be a nice change for eyes.
2.Movement
Movement should have different Action Point Values. Like to be able to make a move for 0 cost Action points will will add to strategy depth.

These two combined means that Beach will require more movement points than steady ground while ice will make movement slippery (1 more).

I like the idea too.
Alltough I think it would be possible only in single player campaign.
Maybe, you (or others) can add even more ideas and we make a special 'environment challenge' out of it?

Why wouldn't it be good in multiplayer? Right now it is quite repetitive.

my vote is yes. sounds great. also maybe "longer" play areas or even "infinite" play areas where there are no backs to the walls.

also on this topic... different view options such as over the shoulder or even "cockpit" view from inside your mech with gauges instead of stats in the top left and right.

question is, considering the 2d and the flash platform, is the functionality of these possible?

... feedback?

7Eleven it would be bad to add an infinite play area because a two movement mech could keep retreating and the other that might have a 1 movement mech and already used his charge/teleport cannot possibly catch up so the match would force one player to quit

That is true. I did not consider that.

I think a Mountain theme with at least one rock in the center breakable ( not from Drones ofc) would be a good start
(it might even solve the weird one action point solution for the first to start player).
1. If the first to start breaks the wall he will have spend one ap
2. He can still teleport and attack if he wants to be the attacker
3. Jumping mech can jump the rock adding to have a shelter
4. Some weapons bypass the Rock

I can see people flooding the forum with things like "I ended at bad environment last match, it must be becuz the other players buy some tokens so u put environment that will benefit him!"

It can work for multiplayer great if enviroment has useable objects :
Breakable objects or grass patches etc can be used by Both players.
