heat builds are already very powerful as it is. personally im going to have to say no to this because then every1 is fighting the same way and thats just boring

I agree with this tbh. there are way too many people that'll just sit there and cook you over and over again to the point you aren't even playing anymore and they just wither down your health. overheat damage in exchange for not being shut down when ever you over heat is a better way to go about it cause it'll still cripple you but it'll still do some damage. like 25% total overheat is made damage would seem pretty fair.

I prefer the old version.... AND there is A VERY BIG REASON why.
Let's say 1 mech is over heated after his last move. The opponent is also heated from the 1st mech's heat attack, because the opponent made a foolish move that made him more vulnerable to heat. The 1st mech now hopes that he shuts down. The opponent decides not to and uses his 2 most powerful guns and destroys the other mech in 2 turns at the cost of 1/3 of overheat damage dealt by the weapons.....
This SCENARIO is very common in heat vs heat battles or rocket vs heat battles. It would make heat mechs completely obsolete.
