... Thats cause each "clan" can hold 100million + people... Honestly I think it would work like battle dawn sure there are top alliances but things usually workout etc..
I don't think so, even in bd we have different classes of players really and usually the top elite players stick with the other elite players. They form a close knit community and it is difficult for someone to enter into that. It also does affect the game however because they will share tips tricks and strategies which will make them keep their dominance over newer players. Just like bd again where top players secrets are closely guarded.
I am not 100% sold on the clan idea either, but I would never want to be part of the clans with whom I consider the best players (or my best ingame friend). Nothing would excite me more than friendly trash talking my highest competition/friends and win or lose (the outcome really would not matter). Now, before you say I am just one, I think I have heard many in this game want to compete against
each other. In fact, what if only one top player (like top 150) could be in a clan (so there would be A LOT of clans, which again I see VERY problematic, but this is a point that is a matter of principle, not practicality) and each clan was created to boost new players. In theory, I think this idea, being maybe slightly different than Rupert's original idea (at least description is slightly different) could work well, but honestly I think Rupert's had a little more too it (again, not that this couldn't work).
