As an additional battle option to single battles, how about tag teams battles?
This would promote socialisation of players and team building etc, bearing in mind that some form of live comms will be needed.

The actual tagging action would require the use of an action point, would probably need to have sides of the map sectioned off, you have to be on your side to tag your teammate, things of that nature, and possibly some way at having a chance to interrupt this action, dealing no damage of course by doing so and forfeiting one of your actions in your next turn.

i have an idea on how to make this work. there are two side by side lanes and you will automatically target the player closest to you unless you have another player in range and the closest player isn't.

I was going to post saying that I can't see how a tag team would work, but this idea does sound doable.

But there are a few other problems I can see with tag-teaming:
-Finding opponents- It's difficult enough finding opponents at higher levels, and it will be much more difficult finding 3 other players (or another team, if you already have a partner).
-Partner quitting- If your partner quits, you're as good as dead.
-Slowness- Some players have trouble with timer starting late when there's only two players, with four, it will be worse.

So while I think it would be a nice idea in theory, I don't think it will be that popular in practice.

I think we should focus on the 1 vs 1 feature, and make sure it's bug-free first before we start to develop more complicated battle system.

but, I think, instead of having a tag team, how about just a team that, when u die, another one from ur team will jump out. He will be able to choose where he land, but he'll lose a turn.
