I was playing online battle when I was attacked by a couple players who were lvl 60 or higher in row, but they had modified their robot to hit me at my lvl (my lvl is 20) so I could have "fair fight". However, I do still think that its not fair fight because they basically got a weapon with highest damage and robot with highest HP as possible in my lvl category. In that way, there was a very slim chance for me to win.

I think that we should be able to only hit players that are 5 lvl below or above us to ensure that we do have a fair fight that we do have a chance to win the battle, not a 1% chance to win the battle. Just 2 cents from me.

This issue is known and we are currently thinking about a solution.
What we hadin mind was giving the higher level player less/no reward if the player level difference is too high even when the mech level is equal.
We also think about not counting won amtches for win streaks and ladder ranking if the level difference is too high.

High level players fight at lower levels, because there is no one for them to fight at their own level, so discouraging them with less win-money and such wont be effective (most of them are rich anyway, and don't spend what they have to upgrade, because they already have good items for that level).

Restricting them to fighting within 5 levels of their own will leave them having no one (or very few opponents) to fight with, and they'd just leave the game.

The only solution to this that I can see, is to reduce the difference between levels, and between normal and rare items.
e.g, a high level playing at lvl20 will have mostly lvl20 items.
A fist timer playing at lvl20 will have a range of items from lvl20 to lvl15.
If a lvl20 item is twice as powerful as a lvl15, then yeah, the high lvl is going to win.
If the lvl20 items were only 1.1 times as powerful, then the fight would be fairer.

I know that's why you have the system you have now becasue i proposed it several month ago.

The planned change will NOT limit high level players to play only in their level bracket but within for example 25 levels above and below them.

When the level difference is 5 or less everything stays the same.
When the level difference is 5-15 then you will get less reward depending on your the level difference. At level difference of 15 you will get no reward at all.
When the level difference is 20 then a won game will not count into the winning streak.
When the level difference is 25 or more than the game will not count for ladder.

And for those players which cannot find players within +-25 player levels
we have to find a special solution.

I got an idea, why not we add attack damage bonus like 5% to 10% to lvl players when they are fighting a higher lvl player that is lvl 6 or more higher than them even if high lvl player has same lvl robot.

I like this better than reward system because I think that high lvl players don't care about money, I think they like to smash low lvl players just for fun.

Yes this is also in consideration at the moment.
But mainly for evening out if your fight 3-5 levels above you.
Then you should get soem kind of bonus.

I don't think restrictions like disscussed here are good ideas.
"High level players fight at lower levels, because there is no one for them to fight at their own level" thats absolutly true
And if you are lvl25(with your mech) for example its not very smart to add only one item which transfers maybe you to level 29 and fight a few levels over your "class".
It's like written in another topic: earn an SAVE some money for 3 levels or so and climbing up without adding new items.
When you have a fat "wallet" and your players level has risen, then there is the point for buying something new and level up your mech too.
Another tip: don't throw away all your old/low level items (I know, thats hard because there is never enough money... :D ) keep them to fight again in other/lower level ranges if you don't get enemys in your range (to buy them again is very expensive and frustraiting.
And, by the way: you can have the same advantage (if it is one :geek: ) and level down to fight vs players lower then you...

Tees I know that high level players will have some problems finding a worthy opponent but there are many high level players out there who exploit their knowledge/position/money/whatever to slaughter low level players in the hundreds.

Supermechs will not grow if low level players (level 20 or less) getting frustrated.
I think one level 50+ having to wait a little bit longer for the next fight is fine if in return 10 new players keep playing because they wont get slaughtered all the time.

Back in the days where your match makign level was depending on your player level I had to wait like 1h for just one opponent coming online above level 40.
And if it turned out that I beat him all the time he left and I did the same when I got beaten all the time. It was no fun at all.
Now the system is much better but still has some flaws regarding the lower level players.

The goal is to "secure" the gaming experience of the rookies because they are the future of Supermechs.

Putting a cap on higher level'd players will result in less match ups, why does it have to negatively affect anyone? That 1 high level player missing out so 10 new players can win maybe half their games as opposed to losing slightly more doesn't make much sense, at the moment you have a game with items so expensive that the level on it doesn't matter in the slightest, you can't afford it until you're a higher level. If there is such a problem with higher level players beating lower leveled players then why not balance the items more accordingly, since the new player will (more than likely) go first they'll have a better chance at winning with those balanced items.

Another thing that might make new players a bit more open to the game is a better introduction, it's clear vsing some people that have two melee weapons and 2 long range weapons with knockback and nothing for that 2-3 range or have nothing but missile weapons/drones but only 15-20 missiles just don't understand the game at all. As good as experience is to make them learn, this 'lose, get frustrated and leave' phenomenon is exacerbated by the lack of a proper introduction. Just my two cents..

The whole reason why this situation happened in the first place is because of the way too expensive items at shop and not enough earnings per battle and level up.

If the item prizes would be lowered and credit rewards increased then low level players would be able to afford better per level items.

Let's see how things are right now,
When i leveled up to lvl38, i got 9000 credits as level up bonus. Which lvl38 items i could get from the shop for that 9000? Almost nothing.
Lvl38 body costs 98.000, cheapest lvl38 weapon costs 30.000. Oh, i could only buy "Rocket Storage 9" for 8.400 and that's it.

The another thing that caused this situation to happen is way too fast leveling up system.
I'll get 100xp per winning a full battle, it only takes me about 15 wins to level up.
So, by the time i have enough money to buy that lvl38 body, my player level would be 45 or so. If i'd also want lvl38 weapons, i'd level up some more before i have the money to buy much lower level items than my player level is.
